In other words, "it will stay open.....until it closes."
There will undoubtedly be many months of planning and permits etc to do before any ground breaking.
I doubt they have done much more than discuss it in house since any county involvement would be public knowledge.
I may get to play it a few more times.
I so love walking off the 18th, going up to the room, changing, jumping in the pool and then going to the spa for a steam, deluge shower etc.
Massage back in the room if I'm in a Salon. Then a nap and down to the casino.
Tough to replicate anywhere.

 

Doon, Coyote is doing OK, surprisingly. I heard some dirt might be moving around out there, too. I should call Karl and find out.

Good to hear! I have spent more time talking to Karl than any other pro/manager in the area. It seems that he always got stuck with my early tee time request and has to open up for me!! From his times at Primm to Coyote, I love his laid back persona.

Now back to OP --> how much land would they need for the expansion? Makes one hell of a big parking lot out east? They should leave a few holes out there in order to settle some bets from inside the casino - then charge per time rather than 18 holes?
