After 30 seconds the manager came over and offered me a fork and spoon

I had to laugh. Should I have been offended that he thought I couldn't use this spoon and needed a stainless steel spoon?

Overall it was a good bowl of noodles and two lobster claws at a good price, for about US$12 plus a $4 can of Coke. All comped!!

I also had a Macanese pork chop bun at a food cart at Venetian. It was pretty good too.

I've only seen one reference to Poker here (not that I've been looking) and that was here at Galaxy. It seems like they have some kind of Poker room set out in the middle and kind of closed off and elevated, similar to their high limit area.

Sure, put it on your bucket list. Just make sure you visit China or HK or somewhere else while you are out this way.

Nice pics. Looks like a lot of replicating of the LV strip.

The language barrier has been a bit strange here. I would say it's difficult to communicate with 99%+ of the other players as well as most dealers and pit crew. There is always some employees close at hand that speak English and they are pretty quick to grab one if you have a question. I haven't really done my part by learning any Chinese however.

Good question... Honestly they all seemed very very busy. And there were just bus load after bus load of people arriving from the ferries and from the border crossings.

Wynn maybe seemed the quietest and fewer people, but it also seemed like they had a little more upscale crowd. Also, looking at the Wynn map when I was in there, they probably have more private gaming salon areas than the regular casino area, so those areas may or may not be busier than the main floor.

Very similar. It's like their plan was just to build the same casinos here as in Vegas, but with some customized tweaks for the Asian culture.

Table game selection is about 80% baccarat, 10% sic bo, 5% blackjack, and 5% other carny games. I saw two real craps tables in MGM and one in Venetian. Didn't notice any others.
