Sorry must be my bad info again....we only had a chance to speak with a few of the Top Golf managers there and they were obviously unaware of the arrangement with the casino. Guess I gotta go up the chain to find out the real deal about this place. We got our comp through the Top Golf management....sorry fellas about the bad info.

If the MGM properties allow chargebacks/bill backs, then I'll be reserving the suite each time I'm out there...any forum members welcome to join as long as they are able to watch me hack away at the mat and not lock eyes with mine each time I shank one...

there trying to run it like day club nite club, luring night life promoters from regular clubs.yes its tied too and co owned by mgm.

its very expensive , its something to do once barley and for most people looking to get laid there not going there. its free for locals and friends of people who know the promoters.

the concert venue holds 900 people, do we realy need another music venue in vegas.

    drinks are nite club prices.

i have no interest in it.

We've got 2 Top Golf locations here in Chicago, so I would never go in Vegas, especially at Vegas pricing. Our locations here are relatively cheap too. Last time we went we had 3 couples and the tab for everything at the end of the night was about $300. That included food, drinks, and the golf. Not too bad - a casual night out for $50 per head.

I think it will do very well in Vegas though because it's fun and different. If you haven't been to one before, it's definitely a unique experience.

I did some work on their marketing/advertising a while back when they were just starting to break into the US market (they started in the UK). They told me that their biggest target market wasn't golfers or even men. They wanted to reach women with kids and they see the bowling alleys as their biggest competition. They figure the serious golfers will find them and buy memberships, but the real money is the family crowd and kids birthday parties, followed by corporate events.

I think their target demographic is definitely not the avid golfers. They are probably targeting the non-golfer to casual golfer with amenities like food and liquor and the game aspect of Top Golf. I'm sure that this demo would also be able to drag along the avid golfer (although they'd be constantly complaining, but it'd be hard to drag a non-golfer out onto a golf course). Although there were some pretty good golfers there, about 85% were hacks like me...and surprisingly a large female demographic as well. I'd say at about 40% were female.

As for a get-together, I wouldn't mind sponsoring one, but the large problem is that my Vegas trips are literally confirmed about a day or two out, so it'd have to be a spontaneous event.

Maybe Shifter has a better idea how to run one....

TopGolf, FootGolf, FlatGolf, none ultimately are targeted at core golfers, and that's exactly what the game needs. Players of course can and do participate in all.

The local by me has a lot of corporate memberships and were pushing that hard when they first opened. It is set in and around a number of higher end office parks. I work with a number of companies in the area and they have the corp. memberships and do a lot of customer meetings there. It is easier to get a client out of the office for an hour or two than trying for a half to a whole day on the course (which is hard to get customers to dedicate that kind of time to one vendor). Very busy during the week but the weekends never seem that busy.
