The details on the LV one sound pretty awesome! My friend has been to the Dallas location and said it's a lot of fun. Unfortunately they don't have any up near me (not surprising with the shitty weather) so I'll definitely need to try out the new Vegas one.

We stopped by Topgolf a few days into their soft opening. It was pretty packed. Got invited by the GM there, they are still working out kinks at the front desk. Originally told there was a three hour wait, but turns out less than 20 minutes. They were turning away business to handle the crowds...maybe I shouldn't have told the GM that particular part...

Anyhow, the majority of the visitors are non-golfers. Even the worst of players still had a pretty good time. You cold essentially even roll the balls into the holes to score points. There are four floors, with floors 1-3 the standard layout with golfing bays, and the fourth floor having a larger bar, smoking area, professional hitting area, and a private suite. The private suite can hold up to 40 ppl, private restroom, couple hitting bays, and massive screen for watching games. Bad part, anywhere from $3k-$5k per hour.....kinda steep. We got a standard bay on the third floor. I think the 3rd floor is probably will have the most demand as you get probably the most distance from even dribbling the ball to the ground. Also can easily see the targets far out as well. The area sat about 5-6 comfortably. The bays have individual heaters and air conditioning. Bad part, they grandma sitting next to us had the heat lamps going in 80 degree weather next to us....not very comfortable.

Got a few drinks and food. Now, for me, with the expensive pricing they had for food, it should have been better quality. I found most dishes we tried to be just okay, to, this should go into the garbage. Now my palette is not very sophisticated. I'm good with most fast food places, but this was probably the most disappointing part of Topgolf. Drinks were okay.

There is also a swimming pool on the third floor. Now, that was quite interesting....maybe they're trying a bit too hard to replicate the dayclub scene, but interesting enough there were a few people that did go in the pool, but not quite the eye-candy you'd expect from Vegas.

Overall, I had a good time there at Topgolf. Although quite expensive, I think that this place will continue to do well for the new to Vegas crowd. I don't think I'd hit this place up everytime I'm in Vegas, but I think I'd go a couple times a year to just to do something different.

Bad part, they have no affiliation with any casino groups, so no comps from any properties, even being on MGM property, no affiliation with them.

That's interesting because MGM had been pushing it hard. Not sure why they would push it hard if they had no affiliation.

Hi Sailboat, I think you were given incorrect info as this is MGM affiliated (although maybe on the quiet side so all casino groups will usher players out there). We went this past Saturday night with our MGM host, spent about $1200, signed back to the room, and had it comped off. Just an FYI.
Mgm is pushing this hard. Someone else told me that mgm is the franchisee for this location, although that may be a closely guarded secret
