That's interesting.
We have very close friends in Denmark and they not only think our tipping culture is too much (in all meanings of the word), they also think our houses are way too big as are our cars.
I think their tiny apartments are like closets and their cars are like golf carts. And we're all quite happy the way we both have it.

One time in Mexico I tipped one of the golf attendants the equivalent of 50 bucks or thereabouts, I mean it was nothing and we'd been there for several days, and the GM saw it and said I'd paid him nearly a week's wages or whatever, and I suggested he pay better.

 

It sounds like in Europe, they are nothing but a bunch of cheap fuckers....

 

Here we go...the obligatory tip or don't tip thread...doesn't matter the players, it always comes down to the same play.

Can't we all just agree to disagree about personal preferences. The original premise was ok, how much % to tip on comp meals, but eventually after a few posts it becomes whether to tip or not in general (disregarding comp meals).....

not counting bottles , on a comp meal i tip in cash 20 plus percent closer 25%, as im a regular and its a comp so they seem to good care of me and i give it back.always cash and let them know theres cash never leave it on the table in the check sleve. i also round it up ,
