    Im with Heather and Dahammer.

I can drink some horrendous stuff but a bottle of pine sole labeled tanqueray 20 years ago has ruined me from being able to handle gin.

I'm a vodka martini guy. My brother-in-law showed me how to make the ultimate vodka martini. The most essential part of this is the Penguin Martini Shaker. I've included a link below of the penguin on ebay. I lost my penguin when we moved several years ago, but this post had me searching for another! For some reason, the penguin will chill your martini to the most frozen temperature possible. If my vodka martini isn't a floating mass of microscopic ice and vodka floating in a perfectly balanced cloud, I've failed. But when successful, this is the ultimate way to go.
    1) Chill over-sized martini glass
    2) mix ice and your favorite premium vodka inside the penguin
    3) Shake for about 30 seconds
    4) Take over-sized martini glass and pour in a very small amount of Vermouth
    5) Spin the Vermouth around the martini glass and dump out any residual
    6) Shake the penguin one more time
    7) Pour the freezing vodka/ice into your martini glass
    8) Drop your favorite huge olives (loaded with or without anything) into the martini glass
    9) Enjoy
    10) Wash, Rinse, Repeat

I prefer to "squeeze the olives" once dropped into the martini.

I found some on ebay- here's the link:

Oscar Goodman drinks Bombay Sapphire with a jalapeño twist. I've had the opportunity to drink a few with him (-jalapeño, + BC stuffed olives) twice in the lounge, twice during his speaker series last year, where he discussed prior criminal cases over dinner and drinks and another time, he sat down with my family during dinner and had a few laughs. He is an amazing guy, and despite his "lefty" stances on a few subjects, an interesting conversationalist on all things mafia.

With Frank and Dean gone, having a martini with Oscar is truly as good as it gets.
