Plus, the currency conversion alone makes London more expensive for US residents visiting over there. About 38-40% more expensive right off the top!

I'm really starting to fear that you have a mental illness. Just give up and save some of your dignity, as you really are starting to embarrass yourself. I'm sure the reply will be something along the same as I know you are but what am I? So just save the effort. It's clearly everyone else not you.

I love how you think everyone is bullying you. I just think it's funny that you seem to think it is everyone else and their perception, versus you being a fucking wanker.

There comes a point when it's like talking to a brick wall, although I think I reached that point awhile ago...I will simply leave you with a quote from a Vegas movie.

OK.....so this thread has degenerated into something else. Still entertaining. So glad I joined this VB. Fucking brilliant !!

I'll add my ten cents worth. (I'm a Brit, but I live in Hong Kong now).

I don't think there's a need to go on about London vs Vegas as that's been done. Really done.

So I wanted to answer this question for myself...How about Casino venue vs Casino Venue? For me, Singapore compared to Vegas (I'll leave out Macau for the time being, as they are building a bridge over the sea which will be 30-40 minutes drive to get from HK to Macau...scary).

Hong Kong to Singapore Airfare $400-500 economy (Cathay Pacific)
Hong Kong to Las Vegas Airfare (and 12 hours longer trip) $1000 - 1400 (Cathay Pacific, discounted airfare)
MBS Hotel (casino Hotel in Singapore) $300 per night (lower than rack rate - off peak)
Strip Hotel (comparable quality and size) $150 per night (lower than rack rate - standard kind of rate)
So...if I stay for 7 nights - then it's about the same price. Given cycles of the peak season, and it would work about the same because Vegas rates also drop.

The beer in Singapore is about US$12+ for one standard glass (not quite a pint). Entertainment is more, shopping is much more, transportation works out more. Food is harder to measure as there's a quality variance. If it's fast food, then Vegas is going to be much cheaper. If it's flavour, then Singapore has fantastic food choices.

So, from my seat in HK, Singapore gaming is going to cost me as much as a Vegas experience for 7-8 nights. That's where it ends. The Vegas experience when gaming has so much more to offer. shows, entertainment, the vegas feel...everything.

I've got Macau on my doorstep. Unless you love Baccarat, I'm not sure why you would play here. Macau has less than 6 Craps tables. Blackjack strategy is most interesting. I'd rather fly 16 hours to Vegas than play in Macau which is within an hours reach of my location. That's what I think of the pricing in Vegas, and the value.

I'm arriving in Vegas in less than 2 weeks. It's all I can think about. The thrill, the anticipation, the VALUE, the excitement. Leaves Macau a lowly second. And Macau makes Vegas look like a Convent (I take this back...I've been reading PT's thread).

Hey, this thread has made me realise that I shouldn't gamble anywhere else because I don't enjoy it. That's it. I'm going to fly to Vegas now everytime I want to play. Thanks for this thread. That was one realisation I hadn't made a connection with until now.
