What I love as a frequent solo traveler is finding places with communal tables. I'm drawing a blank for Vegas, however.

That would be totally awesome. I don't mind talking to strangers, haha. I hope someone finds one/some to post here!

Carson Kitchen has one, Yardbird, and I seem to recall something along that line at Bazar meats. I am hard pressed to think of others on or near the strip. Hofbrau Haus has beer hall style communal seating. On the other end of the spectrum would be é by José Andrés.

I missed that at Yardbird, or they didn't point it out when I was a singleton. But after eating there I won't need to find it in the future.

I'd say 75% of my Vegas trips are solo. At this point I have a good enough relationship with the staff at Aria that they know me at pretty much every one of the restaurant bars; I'll just sit there and either talk with them, or catch up on my reading. The only place I regularly eat that's not a bartop is Picasso, and I honestly find having my own table (there's a specific one that I get every time), sitting there watching the fountains, and maybe glancing through a magazine is insanely relaxing. I don't even take my phone out, which is saying a lot.

As far as Mirage, I'll disagree with one part of the recommendation about Stack -- sit at the bar, but get the Chilean sea bass. Get it with a side of mashed potatoes, and then mix the lobster broth from the sea bass in with the mashed potatoes. It's phenomenal.

For steak dining solo, I like The Palm at The Forum Shops. Friendly bartenders and always sports on the TVs.

I really want to try Sterling Brunch. Past two times I've gone to LV its been closed to the general public.
Anyone done any solo dining for that?

I do it everytime I am in town on a sunday morning. There is a bar that you can sit at. I recomend it. It is also a great place to watch an early game during the nfl season.
