I primarily and for the last 5 years stay at Venetian and Palazzo. I think the comps are better than the other properties I have tried. I always can get as many nights as I need ( up to 7 is the most I've stayed at once) comped. My free play has fluctuated some and I have been getting $500 the last few trips. I got a new host recently and haven't been as pleased with my offers as I was with my old one. The rooms are fantastic. I'm quite comfortable in the Fortuna Suite which is just larger than their basic room. I'm not a high roller by any means and I still get all of my meals comped at end of stay. My problem has been the slots are very tight. I have not won a handpay there in years. I don't expect to win money in Vegas but I expect to get a little more play with what I lose if that makes sense? 15 years ago I was happy to stay and play at the Riviera. I loved the vibe and they treated me so well. Then I started staying at Caesars and realized how much nicer hotel rooms could be. Lol Then I tried Monte Carlo once but hated it and then had my first Venetian experience. I've been with them ever since. With my frustration on their slot payback I just decided to split my late September stay between Palazzo and Cosmopolitan. 3 nights at each hotel. Then I'll be able to decide if I want to start staying elsewhere. I think staying at Palazzo and then immediately at Cosmo will be great to compare them and see where I enjoyed myself the most.

I tried Palazzo last trip. I enjoyed the property, it was a lot of self service even at a high player level but if you are pretty self sufficient the properties have a lot of interesting restaurants and shops. Just make sure to check if they do room charges because some restaurants don't.

More of a convention atmosphere as well...

I think it's to hard to get a decent comp deal there. I've stayed there once and like it. I'll stop by and play some there from time to time, but I can't get the same offers I get from Mlife. I think Venetian is a tad below Aria and Bellagio but above Mandalay Bay and MGM (not counting Mansion). It's not worth twice the price of Mandalay Bay which is what it would cost me to stay there most weekends. For the high rollers it seems they don't have the suites, golf, and other things that Wynn, and top Mlife properties can offer. The other draw back is because Venetians rooms are so big, you could easily get 6 people in them so there are a lot of college kids packing in the rooms. They cater to conventions and that keeps their rooms filled most of the time so they don't have to comp as much. It's a nice place and if I played more and could get a better offer there I would stay there.

1999 when it opened until 2004 probably stayed at V 30 times. My avg was 600-1000 at baccarat. I recievd really anything I wanted or needed. As the newest kid in town at the time it was awesome. High limit bar section with a staffed butler was amazing. Huge Cigar humidor ripe and ready for the picking. Service was impeccable. Rooms were new, large and easy to get to. Great towels! (Until years later they would tare your skin from being washed so much) The casino had a fun vibe and seemed huge. Sports book nice with a great bar. Really great restaurants especially Delmonicos. Now it's a different vibe, kind if smelly and worn. Just so many people and too many conventioneers. For me, comps stopped altogether. I remember my host at the time saying "we are catering to the convention crowd and super high rollers only" I never went back but I want to say, man I had some fricken great times there!!
Then the Palazzo opened in 2007 I think and I tried it. Great rooms and a lot more mellow. Great towels! Lol.. But alas, a little too mellow for me. Oh, pool sucked at V as the sun would be hidden by the building pretty early. I did make it work but also sardine situation.
On the other hand, If you have never stayed there I would definitely try it. Great shopping and people watching.
Looking forward to you TR Oct I think...

We stayed at V last November for 5 days. We really enjoyed our stay but as others have mentioned the convention crowds are an issue and games were tight. No decent offers to entice us back so likely will go elsewhere next time.

i just hate sheldon adelson, it personal also they dont give you stuff for table players its host related .

there more slots until u get into the higher level bets at tables.

they took away alot a comps years ago .

tao is a old club and old day club so its not in anymore.

there starting to book more concerts and residency to compete with the other casinos

    realy nice rooms and reasturants

kinda funny that sheldon owns it and it was home to the porn convention for all those years if those suites could talk , we shot alot of porn in that hotel and some great suite parties

I always used to spend at least half my trip at Palazzo, and loved everything about the place.

No idea from a gambling perspective, as the only thing I played was poker over at the V.

Superb restaurants, great rooms, and an all around lovely property.

Mrs. S and I stayed at the V for a conference in 2013. The room was good, the food was good (Bouchon is fantastic), and the FP was good. I did not like the dealers/pit, the smell, or the 20-somethings with rolling coolers of beer. It was July.
