So you are not getting hosed to bad no different than paying the bank to convert cash.

I maintain US$ bank accounts in Canada and the US. I pay any markers with a US$ cheque, rather than having the casino present my markers to my bank and a fx conversion done at that point.

I like using an LOC. I prefer to only carry around $2-3k on me (personal preference / stolen purse comfort limit).

I still set a budget BR for each trip independent of what my LOC is and I don't exceed it. I understand why it isn't preferable for some, but it works well for me. Last few trips I've brought enough cash and recycled / won enough that I was able to pay off markers before leaving (though granted may have only came home with a few hundred bucks). Save for what I brought, I played with casino money all trip and didn't owe anything.

    Hopefully, you'll never need them.:)
I'm not sure where you bank, but the relationship between TD Canada Trust and TD Bank (in the US), make cross border transfers very easy.

Ya I hear TD is good. I am Cibc but just as long as I can write them a cheque that saves a ton of time and my drunken ass searching for cash in my pants.

It is hard for them to do deposit markers internationally. So they would have to work with you to settle. Most countries including Taiwan do not recognize gambling debts as legitimate debts, so they will have problems collecting. What they usually do is put out a fraud warrant against you and if you ever enter the US again, you get picked up and arrested right at the immigration inspection. Basically if you want to do a final blowout and not pay, and never go back to the US again, that could be an option. Not sure about Canada specifically though.

Oh my how a player of your level could leave them holding the bag.
Of course a few more currency moves and BBL changes and even a 5M CL would be a small potato affect to your net liquidity situation.
Plus you're too young to retire, on the run or not.
