I don't restrict my play completely to where I'm staying but they will get the majority of my play. I enjoy bouncing around from time to time and like playing craps at different spots. I'll play in some CET places because I want to play the fire bet. I'll hit Cosmo because it's a nice place and I like their craps crews and the feel of the place is nice. Same with Aria.

I'd say that Palazzo gets 80% of my play.

Because most of my trips are solo or with buddies who have their own arrangements the only comps I really worry about are rooms and some food/bev credits. Promo chips are a nice bonus and I don't really worry about limos and shows.

This is the exact reason why I don't go to my locals. Haven't even been to the horseshoe in Baltimore yet. I would rather make a weekend trip to the borgata in ac for a whole weekend and enjoy a whole weekend.

Not sure how it will be or how I will feel once mgm natl harbor opens.

Taking a weekend trip to ac again to the borgata for my bday in April. Haven't been there since my bday last year.

    not quite.

the Mirage host just won't get credit for that play.

your host at those properties gets credit for the play.

but comp-wise, everything corporate goes towards your theo that earns comps.

but you will piss off your host if you make a habit of staying with him and playing elsewhere most of the time.

this seems to have shifted recently.

they used to hate when you did this, but these days it doesn't seem to matter as much.

Interesting. That's why I left Mlife because I felt as if I was being punished for moving around despite it all being under the same brand.

When I spoke to a Wynn host they said 250 average 4 hrs/day would get me a standard room. Any play above that would go towards food/room charges. Obviously the level of the hotel and the product I am getting is much nicer but it will be an adjustment from mgm or cet where the same play would get me a small suite and food/drinks taken care of. At the other properties I'm a minnow but at Wynn I just feel like I'm an inconvenience.

I'm in agreement with packer and chess. I like to keep my play where I'm staying if it's somewhere I want to stay again. From a lower roller perspective I don't think I could keep up my comps at Cosmo if I split up my play especially if it were at comparable properties. I do well enough to get regular room comps at Cosmo and I'm happy with that.

Understood.. You did say 250 to 500 or so. Ive said it before, If you spenp all or most of your trips there they will cater to you at a 250 avg.

It's all in your head. Get over that feeling. Although the room might be a little smaller it's just nicer especially if you go with the girlfriend/wife. I go with higher rollers and lower rollers who come in with no expectations (well some expectations) and end up leaving very happy. High, low or no roller the staff will treat you very well. Mostly. If you work it right. Remember, you aren't a gambler you are their guest.

    not really.

there's absolutely a mentality with the hosts and other staff at Wynn that they're doing you a favor by doing anything for you.

it's subtle, but it permeates everything that you do. after they get done fucking you, they let you know they are doing you a favor not fucking you more.

that's why I shut down my line this trip and will not be returning.

but everybody has different experiences and has different needs and wants, so that's why there's options.

if you love Wynn, perfect, that's your place. but it's definitely not one size fits all.

My thoughts from the cheap seats!
2016 projections show that this is going to be a record breaking year for tourism in Vegas.

Unfortunately that means comps will be tougher.

Seems 2016 is a great time to try something different.

Seems a lot of people involved in these "programs" are in a Casino type jail, and or in bad marriage with a host or stay casino. Yes, you may like your host(s), but that is usually because they have staying there and not exploring much.

You stay put and they are welcoming. You move around and they get sketchy.

Everyday in my real world, I am strapped to my job, kids, and home life. I am not bitching as this is the way of life in Nebraska, and it is'nt a bad life at all..

Having said that, When I arrive in Vegas the last thing I want is to have a limo waiting to take us, to my 4 day jail sentence at my stay casino. Fuck no, I am getting us in our rental car and going to cruise and check the things that have changed, most likely get some booze, and hit a new casino or 3 for a hour or so. We do not know what we are going to do for sure, but we do know we do not need to run to our Hotel to check out no gift basket, and wet bar from our host.

Take a moment and remember how it was on your first 2-3 visits. I bet, you seen more, did more and still had a great time. Probably risked a lot less BR and met some other like minded degens. IMO there is not any bad rooms. No one needs a suite view, as the goal is to get out of this room, go play, and enjoy parts of the city.

Don't view it, go do it!

Nothing worse than being in Vegas 3-6 times a year and being limited to gambling at 2 or 3 casinos. These programs and hosts are a fucking a contract to keep your butt in their casino. Don't fall for this undeniable house edge.

Spread your money around and enjoy the experiences. Shifter goes to Trop. and gets a unexpected gift card. He had no expectations and was surprised. That is my whole thing. Expect less, allow for the unexpected, and take ownership of your trip. I pay for my room and drinks, and manage my BR. Don't care about theo, I care only about how much i am up or down.

Charging shit to your room and then having your host get the satisfaction of comping that shit off, means you have to go sit at their tables to getr screwed on Theo and over priced comps. I may not get VIP clubbing and the great amenities for so called-free, but shit that is really overrated. The comp pricing is a joke. If your loved one requires this then fine, satisfy her on occasion, but just pay for it, and then go have sex. Much cheaper.

Myself, I'll just take a trip to Atlantis if she wants that shit.

I have millionaire friends and I have gotten them out of this rut of staying and playing. Fuck the host and the 4 hour minimum play. Take control of your vacation, play when and where you want, and enjoy a new prop (or 5) every trip.

Those fucking nice meals don't taste as good after donking away 5k earlier in the day. Trust me those nice things are not free.

I take a group of mixed friends every year, and you do not get to go on my trip if you are stuck too any casino. Yes we'll go to our favorites, but do not wire money to it as this is another trap. Plenty of banks in Vegas to get your money out.

Get unchained from your ball and chain casino, risk less, expect less, enjoy more!

I guess my rant puts me on the Stay and play=No list.

My hunch is Packer is going to "ignore" me

    Thanks

True, but for the average player walking in to the Wynn hopefully they talk to a nice/inviting host without an attitude who sets them up. That first great encounter can go along way for customers.
Personally I don't love anyplace in Vegas. (I do love Four seasons Maui and grand wailea for different reasons though) I do however think Wynn is the nicest with the best amenities in Vegas. (Until the next new place come along) Except for the Mansion I guess which I have yet to and probably will never have the pleasure of staying in. But I like the casino, pool better at wynn vs mgm As well. It's all good.
