I could see this working with a small exclusive (all high limit) casino but if it had no casino in not so sure, MO seems to do ok

This could be Stevie's last shot at "perfection" unless an opportunity opens up in Japan/nyc/Miami really soon. So I think if anything it's got to be top of the market. I could totally see something that was like a highlimit only pit and slots out back with the 1k tower suites only type hotel attached. Then letting go of encore to be more of the party type property for the younger crowd, funnel high end play to split between Wynn highlimit (villas/fairways) and this new hotel casino

It exists only for people getting rooms on Hotwire!

It would be cool if they built this. Can't have enough luxury on the Strip, if you ask me.

Yes they talk about it constantly. Now the hosts are getting into it as well. One of the major reasons I go to Wynn...will be just another pretty property...

This isn't too surprising. I was actually in Wynn's executive offices on the top floor of the Desert Inn, after he bought it but before he blew it up. They had a scale model of what would become Wynn in the office, and even back 15 years ago their initial plan was to have up to 5 hotels on the property, one being the initial tower, and up to 3 of them being built by other hotel companies. Obviously that didn't quite pan out the way he wanted.

I have laughed at times when I have read articles saying that Steve scoffed at City Center, as he had a similar vision for his own property (though there were no residential plans), at least at first. My guess is that such projects became a bad idea in his mind as soon as his own plan to bring in hotel partners failed to gain traction.
