Interesting... I thought they did... but it's been so damned long I really can't remember.

And, hell, my memory ain't the best. :)

Unless you played at the Beau. They had Noir years before Vegas did. It was a card made out of some type of metal like aluminum. When I'd take it to Vegas I would get the weirdest looks. On the back of it they somehow imprinted your photo from your driver's license.

but even the Beau didn't have Mlife 8 years ago.

IIRC they rolled it out mid-2010.

I started going there in 2009 and I know they were still using Player's Club at that point.

Yeah they had reg cards and noir ones. I had it for at least 2-3 years before Vegas got them. Not sure how long it existed prior to then bc I was a small fish.

I actually think it's Gold that's the most worthless; Pearl gets you the buffet line pass, Gold gets you essentially nothing extra except for the "priority" check-in (which often doesn't save you any real time), and a line pass for the cafe (which is pointless).

Anyway, to answer the question, Platinum won't affect your offers at all, but it has one of the best perks in the Mlife system -- skipping the taxi line. That can be worth its weight in gold (no pun intended). Just the other week, me, the girlfriend, and her parents were on our way out of Love at Mirage, and headed back to Aria. Probably 50 people in line in front of us, and we walked right up. Probably saved us 45 minutes. Same for when I was hopping back and forth between MGM and Aria to meet up with broncofn and the guys; between the lines at Aria and the lines at MGM, that easily saved me a couple hours in total. I wouldn't go nuts trying to get it, but 34k is pretty doable if you're gambling and also spending money.

Yeah, I was thinking it probably wont be too hard. Maybe I'll change resorts though, I booked NY NY, but am starting to reconsider Aria so I can enjoy the pool. The NY NY pool looks like the inner city pool that Mac and Charlie tried to renovate...

Yep, looks about the same. I'd rather swim in the fountain out front.

Based on my most recent trip, skipping the cab line is worth a lot less at regular times than it used to be now that uber and lyft are so easy. My longest wait time was 2 minutes coming out of MGM and Aria during a seemingly busy time. But it is still useful for leaving after letouts of shows, etc. However, they also now let you skip the mlife line at least at MGM.

I also feel like I was hassled more about getting in free with no wait to Hakkasan and Wet Republic (and other day and night clubs) when I was Gold as opposed to Platinum.

Platinum experience? Ha - I did not even get the letter this trip nor care.

The Beau used to be the only casino with a 6 hr drive and they had noir I think 4 or 5 before Vegas did. I havent been in probably 4 years and still get the mailers for the free junket monthly.Noir along with any mlife tier program is worthless, especially now that table games arent earning express comps, which are worthless when you are on full comp with af anyways.

The only reason I have a card is to cash out and to be able to be yellow and above, they require it
