I have taken the free 3 day junket when I was Platinum with Mlife a couple years ago and in April I took a cruise offer via a Diamond offer from CET.
I found the CET deal to be better not simply for the amount of days but more so for the cruise ship and the stops.

The Mlife cruise left Port Cannaveral and stopped in Nassau and one other little island the cruise line literally owned I think.

The CET/Norwegian cruise left out of New Orleans and stopped in Costa Maya, Belize, Honduras and Cozumel. Now obviously you are gonna have more and better opportunities on a 7 day cruise to stop at certain places but I felt the random island stop on the MGM/Royal Caribbean offer was fairly lacking.

My room was better on Royal but the boat on Norwegian was much better. Norwegian also offered me a 7 day All You Can Drink package for a total 0f $84.50. A decision I am sure they are still regretting.

 

I do think it's both, as I'm Platinum from a combination of play and spend; I generally play black chips, but know that I wouldn't have made Plat this year without spend. My offer was similar to the ones mentioned, 5 nights and some onboard credit.

I have booked multiple cruises on Celebrity,NCL,and Royal Caribbean.
I have used several independent junket reps unrelated to MLife or CET.
Also used the Blue Chip club for Clebrity and RCCL.
Either one booked a comped Verandah cabin with onboard credit.
Overall combination of the ships and casinos,Celebrity is easily best.

Even though they are owned by RCCL the casinos and amenities are different .
Celebrity uses the typical odds from the Strip of 3x4x5x.
RCCL STILL HAS SINGLE ODDS.
ON Celebrity it was comp drinks anytime we were in the casino.on RCCL I had to shake down the casino manager for some drinks while we were playing .
NCL had decent casino games but over all their ships are not as nice as Celebrity.

 

What kind of play are they expecting on these cruises? I would never play on a ship like I do in LV. I'm on a cruise to enjoy the beach and the sites at the stops, not to grind away at the tables.

 

Through CET, I get a "free" 1 week cruise in a balcony cabin on NCL. I'm required to pay gratuities, port fees, taxes and an admin fee. NCL/Casinos at Seas hopes that I play similar to Vegas, but there is no play requirement. The cruise is offered as a 7 Star benefit. There is no blow back to CET/Total Rewards if I never play on the ship.

 

Got this email too. I give MLIFE virtually zero play. I may eat a one of their restaurants and play an hour of VP after dinner.

 

I doubt they really care as much about play on the boats. Its actually hard to get any serious time in at the tables in these places except on a sea day. Its all the other things they want you to buy that they are looking to cash in on. Like specialty dining, excursions, pictures, drinks outside the casino including silly shit like sodas, internet, and so on.
