I agree I used to get 3 free nights at MGM, now Sun-Thurs only. I'm getting comped though at the Cosmo with the same level of play I use to play at MGM. No more MGM for me!

 

That's great to know. Seems to confirm the current trend. Interestingly enough, I just got an offer for FOUR free nights at Mandalay ... have given them generally very little play in the past two years, and I got shifted back to Sunday-Thursday only at Aria and Bellagio.

 

For the first time ever i got a 2 night comp offer with freeplay at montecarlo and never put a dime in that property.

 

They also raised the requirements for Villas. 100k min CL, used to be much lower and they are not doing front end comps on Villas for FM players like myself even though I have a history with them.

The 100k number is partially true. It used to be 100k a few years ago and then they lowered it to fill up occupancy. Now they've raised it again officially but you can still get in with less if you have history.

But beating them is the way to get them to start arbitrarily making up stuff like that. That's what they started to do to me last year when I was up 7 figures on them. They're still doing it to me even though I've given back a large chunk of that in the past 6 months.

 

I'm a PGP victim. My upcoming trip, I have a 2 bedroom panoramic suite at Mandalay Bay comped for 3 nights with $1000 of F&B and $175 freeplay. My host, Bob Rosati, would NOT comp me a limo!? In 33 trips, I've never not gotten a limo. I'm a slot player and fall into the category of someone who risks about $10k a trip.

 

that's ridiculous! that is really being petty on his part - you should be getting a limo if you are getting that room type, F&B, and freeplay. The limo costs them next to nothing to provide to the guest.

 

Yeah, it's fucked up! I guess they're trying to push players out the door to the competition!

 

I would ask him point blank why he is not providing a limo? Put him on the spot and ask why is he being petty?

the limos don't even go against your comps anyway, so it costs him nothing.

although I did hear that as part of PGP they did away with their contract with an outside limo company to provide overflow service when their house cars are all used.

so maybe they're telling the hosts to cut back on who they're giving car service for because they don't want to risk running out of house cars.
