Caesars got killed for a few years when they had their no resort fee campaign. A third party site was listing Bellagio for $10 more then Flamingo. Unsuspecting tourists got hit with the resort fee, but they were already there.

Unless they can regulate all "mandatory" fees on sites like they do with airfare it will still be this way.

I'm sure this will have an impact on quality control. Longer wait times, dings-and-dents, theft, etc. I'll pass on MGM parking.

Anyone seen an update as to what will happen to the two (I think it was Circus and Excal?) props whose valets were unionized?

And why would two props unionize and not all of them?

Just a guess - perhaps the two properties had established the unions prior to becoming part of the MGM group?

Yup I believe that was the case with properties like Excalibur/Luxor/Circus Circus.

Makes sense. I didn't think about that - I forgot they weren't all under the MGM umbrella originally.

Due to the new MGM arena, this will be the new norm for all strip properties. CET and the others will have to follow suit, or their garages will be filled with MGM customers wanting to park for free. The new arena is expected to draw 15,000 locals for hockey games, and a like number for certain other events. I think strip casinos will run it like Downtown already is doing. Free for registered guests and preferred players. Others may have to play a certain amount to earn parking.
I think the biggest downside is entrusting customers to an outside vendor who has no vested interest in making them happy......
