I've been out for a few March Madness trips, it's the best sports trip in my opinion. I'm not a big one on parties though for it, I prefer to just gamble around, mostly play VP or anything else and if a game catches my interest I watch, or like many I gather in front of a tv for a finale on a game that I have money on.

My friends and I did a day at the Planet Hollywood viewing party last year. I was underwhelmed.

Pros: Temporary betting lines. Big screens.

Cons: Buffet of crummy food and hot dogs. Comped drinks were basically Miller Lite and Coors Lite.

We had more fun on Friday at Tilted Kilt and Twin Peaks.

March madness 2001 was my very first trip to Vegas, and the early years were always a rush and fun, but man it gets so packed in recent years, that I've defaulted to the first weekend of May, which brings the Derby, A good fight card and lots of sports to gamble on.

Yeah from looking online it seems like CET viewing parties have shit reviews. I'm double booking at Cosmo and a CET property (not sure which one) just to have some options.

Yep, too packed for MM that I choose not to go any longer. Though I do miss going. It's just so damned packed.

We've also defaulted to going the first weekend of May and I think I've done it now three or four years in a row, including the Mayweather / Pac fight last year. As far I know though, there's no fight the weekend of May 1 in Vegas this year. It's the weekend after. And the derby is that weekend as well.
