Thirsty and a need to clear some room for better bottles.

Wow that's old for a Willamette Valley Pinot.

    Still any good?

I had an 07 Navarro Deep End this week and it was still OK but definitely past its peak.

Yes! It still sings with intense fruit and some tar.

2010 Flying Goat 'Dijon' Pinot Noir and a 2012 Ampelos Syrache last night.

We need to start tearing through our c. 200x New World Pinots. Most simply aren't structured to go the long haul, and that's fine.

It was fun seeing the past two weeks the love affair so many top-end Hawai'ian eateries are having with SRH Pinots.

It was Thursday wine/dinner night with the gang. Thoughts on a few: A 2011 Rancho Sisquoc Merlot that was for shit. It ran out the gates beautifully then just crashed. We took an Arcadian La Encantada Pinot (2009) that seems to have gone just a bit around the bend. The 2013 Brewer Clifton (non-vineyard designate) was solid. We'll put some more of that in stock.

Are you kidding me? $35 bucks for the Brewer Clifton, when you could have had a Jordan cab for about $50?
