Seems like many of us including myself have made a comeback many more times than a big win in the beginning of a trip. If you win in the beginning you/I feel invincible. By the end of your trip you might be up, even, ahead just a little or lost it all plus your br. It is a lot more satisfying making a comeback and leaving a winner or breaking even at the end.. For me if I'm up 100% of my br or more early I consider it found easy money and that gives me a chance to really pound them! I will risk all the winnings except a few 1000 for incidentals, tips, hookers, blow and whatever other charges there may be at the end of the trip.
Im in the hole 1500.00 before I even get to Vegas. Plane, concert tickets, Veuve, parking, tips and cucumbers..
As to the thread. For me, Very stressful making a comeback. 9.50 on the scale. Winning in the first few hours? Only a 2.0 on the stress scale.

The stakes I play it, there is not a lot of stress. Losses sting the pride more than they do the wallet. Of course, that is also what drives my worst gambling habits (sticking around to try to get all the way back to even and not book the loss ... even at poker and even when the stack has been cut by tips).

As for a 70% BR win, no, I have never come close to that, because I usually budget days separately (every trip but my first one). Of course, the flip side has been I've never been that near to complete bankroll loss either. My very first trip (no budget planning at all) I got wiped out, but that was a tiny bankroll and had spending/gambling intermingled.

reality sort of set in that night, but honestly the money isn't real until you leave the casino with it.

when it's sitting in front of you at the table, it's just 40 chips. or when it's on deposit at the cage, it's just bullets.

it's a big part of the mind games the casino plays to keep you in action.

it doesn't get real until you get home and look at your bank account on Monday and see the wire.

the smart man would have taken the money, bought a case of champagne and booked a jet home first thing in the morning.

but instead the next day I went back at it to try to hit them some more.

unfortunately a monkey throwing darts could have picked better than I did that afternoon and I lost 80% of my hands if I lost a single one.

and just like that I signed a 418k marker.

    easy come easy go unfortunately.

My hands are clammy just thinking about it. You still went home with 100 something thousand. As you know That's a good consolation prize. But, how much of a degen are you? Would you have lost anywhere near 418k if you weren't up the 500+k? Do you have a stop loss number you could share? And we all know it's all relative.

I get stressed when I'm in the last $1000 of my bankroll. I'm not stressed about the money though, as I only bring what I can afford to lose. I get stressed that if I don't hit anything with that money I have left, that I won't be able to gamble anymore. Lol I start doing the please let me hit prayer to the gambling Gods. I never come home a winner. I expect to lose. All I ask is my bankroll gets me through the trip, with enough wins to keep me spinning. My bankroll is always between $10-$15K for a 4 night stay. I slow down after I lose $5k usually the first day I'm there and do other things the majority of the day to stretch it out. If I lose $10K then the $5K left is for shopping, food at restaurants that I don't get comped at, and drinks at bars. I will never know what it feels like to gamble with 100's of thousands of dollars as it's just not in my cards, but I'm content at my level and it's still fun even after years of playing the same.

I went ahead and did a write up since I had never done a full TR for that trip.

Maybe the only way to look at it is that all visits and all sessions over all the years are still just one long continuum as far as the math goes.
But to have been up lifetime, as bad as it turned out, you were on Everest for awhile. Until the landslide.
And it's all about the climb I guess.

Found this on their site when I was playing around and signed in. The thing is I only won 11k ish for 2015 at Wynn... I guess I lost when I didn't hand my card in. Big difference.

Your total estimated slot win/(loss) for the year of 2015 is ($2,558.00). This figure represents the total coin deposited into the machines, less total coin paid out of the machines, and less jackpots paid by hand with currency. Please note that hand paid currency jackpots include the reported W - 2G winnings. Your total estimated table win / (loss) for the year of 2015 is $42,280.00.
The tracking system used by Wynn Resorts to estimate the result of your gaming activities is dependent upon you using your Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Red Card.

Please consult a qualified tax specialist for advice on using the above information, as the Internal Revenue Service requires you to maintain additional documentation to support your gambling winnings and losses.
