It started before the trip, but nothing unusual as far as my diet goes. It did cross my mind as a coworker had just found out she had gout the week before, so it was in my head. I think it was an issue with the shoes i was wearing on my last day of work before my trip. I had the entire week off, even though i was only in Vegas for 2 days.

So the last day at work i was on my feet running around to make sure everything is set before my vacation. I think it may have something to do with that. If it were gout, i would have expected the massive amounts of beer and red meat i ate in Vegas would have caused a flare up. I haven't had any issues since. I'll keep my fingers crossed in any case.

    Shellfish/seafood can also trigger it.

I ate a ton of crawfish and other seafood at the buffet in Vegas... i think i was subconsciously trying to trigger something if i did have gout, just to confirm it haha... something to keep an eye on though... thanks for the info.

I once ate one of those 99 cent footlong hot dogs at Circus Circus. Never again...

I had a nasty 6 hours Revenge of the Nine Fine Irishmen one trip -- will never set foot in that place again. I won't say it was food poisoning. The Onion Rings were very greasy and tasted like fried in old grease -- but did I let that stop me from devouring a good portion? Of course not. I spent six hours sitting on the porcelain throne. The next day all was right with the world. My husband ate just as much as I did of the greasy rings. He got sick right after I finally started feeling better. Old Marine rot gut had a 30 minute bout of the same and he was good to go.

Got the stomach bug the night before my trip in June. Threw up 5 times, last being at 3 am with a 7:30 am flight. Was going to cancel if I threw up again. Wife started feeling it on the flights in. What was supposed to be a first nights dinner at Beauty and Essex turned into half a Big Mac for me, nothing for her and a 9 o'clock bedtime.
