I was playing baccarat. Guy next to me was coughing. One of his cough spray, a little bit of saliva hit my arm. Gross. No biggie.
4 days later, I develop a cough and got sick. Turns out, I got whooping cough and it last 4 months. In asian circles, it's referred to as the 100 day sickness. It's highly contagious. Horrible 4 months.

We suspected that person had it and didn't care, needed to get his gamble on.

PSA- when you cough, please use the recommended method of bringing your arm, elbow joint, up to your mouth and cough into your elbow. Don't cough into your hands. And if you are sick, going to casino isn't very nice.

This may sound a bit stupid, but can't the casinos go around about 4 AM in the morning and at least spray the chips-dice-tables with a Lysol spray to add protection from germs and bacteria.??

my friend, they ply you with free alcohol and allow smoking...do you really think they give a shit about germs and bacteria on their gaming tables?

Pity the poor folks who work the cage; they have to deal with the dirtiest object known to man...cash money.

My guess is that this would be too difficult to actually sanitize every chip/dice. Plus it will ruin the mood of people playing at 4AM.

Easier to just put some hand sanitizer dispensers out and let people do their own thing.

Trying to wash the chips would be a surveillance/game protection nightmare.

Sick from too much booze plenty of times..

When lakeside first opened at Wynn i had a smoke prime rib that was super mooing still rare but I ate it anyway and I'm pretty sure I got food poisoning.. At least it was the last night of the trip

2 separate times I got sick after running the Vegas marathon but those were my own fault pushing too hard / dehydration etc..

I went to a Vegas wedding July 2008 and got heat stroke or something the day of the wedding.... I was fine for ceremony and Boom! soon as we get out of limo to reception I was done, just horrible, disappeared to my room for the rest of night. THEN, a month later once we home, they have a big party to celebrate wedding again, I come in from out of town for it, and have to leave the reception again! Super sick, went and crashed at their place while everybody partying& having a great time... I just couldn't win with that wedding!

I was on a flight from chicago to lax that had to make an emergency landing in Vegas because I was sick. There was a doctor on board who said that my kidneys were failing. I felt like 50 percent better a few hours later.

Mr. K bravely accompanied me to Vegas even though he was 24 hours into what turned out to be 3 days of food poisoning. He didn't leave the room until our last day but he knew I really wanted to go and it was nice of him not to make me cancel! I brought him a lot of toast and Gatorade. The Pantry at Mirage has really good toast, we found.
