    How things have changed.

I went to Vegas in 1993 and I think I either stayed at the StarDust and it was the motor inn the back not the tower or (Bob Stupak's Vegas World) There was an offer for $199 you get 2 or 3 free nights and a prize and one time use promos. to this day I still call the one time use Stupak Dollars.

I remember the $1.99 breakfast, $2.99 lunch and $3.99 dinner buffets at Circus Circus. 99 cent shrimp cocktails and $1.99 steak and eggs.

I use to go to for CES and had even sleep in the car at the parking lot in front of where Hash house is at now because I couldn't check in till after 3pm.

I can't return and stay at those hotels as those places are no longer there.

I was playing slots watching the football game and won $1k on the game and figure I should just play 3 spins on the $100 slots and on the third spin I hit $10k at Caesar's HL slot.

That was the biggest turning point. I use to book the $19 a night hotels and drive from Dallas to Vegas. I would eat buffets and coupon foods.

After I hit the $10k hand pay I was given a host and RFB offers.

Think that was the hook Once I was given a suite at Caesar's I was hooked to play and bet more to keep getting the RFB comps.

Thinking back I should have never played the slots.

Flamingo in 2004 shortly after I turned 21 with my family. I remember the rooms being ok / didn't care since I was in Vegas and that was amazing at the time. I've actually stayed at flamingo a couple times since but mainly because it was cheap/good location/people I went with were trying to save money.

My first stay was at the JW Marriott resort & spa, not bad stay. Fairly quiet but not close to the strip, so can be a little inconvenient. The actual casino was not that great, mostly filled with old people. Was near a very nice golf course, if you like playing. Food was decent but nothing spectacular. Would go back if I wanted a quieter place to stay away from the strip.

My first stay was at Cosmo and I will definitely be going back. Walking out on to the balcony and seeing the view up the strip the night I arrived I was just blown away. Cracked a bottle of whiskey, sat down, and just soaked it up.

Mirage 2005. Walking in that place I was hooked on Vegas immediately. I have stayed there since and would again. So many great memories from that first trip.

First place I stayed at was Palazzo several years ago. I'll stop by there occasionally, but doubt I will ever stay again.

Rio in 2009. I've stayed at many since then, and prefer Cosmopolitan Wynncore V/P nowadays. Circumstances required staying at Rio again on a trip last year, it was def not like that very first trip which I remember fondly. I did win a lot there this time around, but I will not be staying or going there again. That chapter has closed.
