Holy crap. Everyday is win after that.

 

2000 Super Bowl weekend (NYG/Balt) in a 2br suite at mgm with my uncle. He had a bunch of friends come in from Chicago and was a hell of a first trip for me. Took vivarin the last 2 days to stay awake if anyone remembers what that is. Yes, I would and have stayed at mgm since then and still like the property but have now been spoiled with the sky lofts there.

 

Excalibur... 1995... on a random driving trip to the beach, my wife casually asked, "if you could go anywhere, where would it be"...for some reason I said Las Vegas ... couple months later, wife gave me/us a trip to the Excalibur for our 5th wedding anniversary. It was a fantastic first trip experience, we had a blast, but neither of us have any desire to go back to the Excalibur.

 

That shit cray.....

 

Stardust. Got treated like a king as a $10-30 player on a 2D pitch game. Amazing nostalgia in that place. I would go back if it was still there just to talk to the old timers in the sportsbook

 

I guess my first trip to Vegas was when we took a "family" trip with mom and dad. I was 12 and my brother 8. We stayed at MGM Grand in the middle of the "let's make Vegas a family friendly vacation" phase. I can honestly say I was hooked at 12 years old. My most vivid memory was the sheer size of the arcades! This was at the time Mortal Kombat II was the most popular game, my brother and I counted 22 MKII machines at the MGM arcade alone. We also had fun at the indoor amusement park MGM had for a while.

Vegas... Life on steroids.

 

College Spring Break 2007. Me and some buddies packed into an imperial palace room. That casino was definitely run down and smokey. I actually stayed there another time about 3 years later in a king suite with mirrors above the tub and bed. With the Linq renovation I won't be able to relive those memories.

 

First place I stayed was Planet Hollywood in 2012. I did the $20 trick and got a resort room. I have tried other hotels but that is normally still my go-to.

 

My first trip was maybe 98-2000 and I stayed at the Luxor. Thinking it was a cool pyramid and I wanted to try that shit out. Then I ate the buffet (so horrible) and being a Vegas virgin drank my face off and almost puked in the elevator and then almost puked into the atrium before making it to the safety of my room to let loose.

But yeah. I can afford nicer places and have no sentimental attachments. Our next trip was the trop which somehow has the sentimental attachment to
It. Think it's cause they comped me for the first time ever and my gf legit loved it which obviously makes the trip that much better.
