First place was Harrahs. It was for 2000 New Years. I have never stayed there again. I doubt I will stay there again.

I think it was the Luxor and the Excalibur a week apart in December of 1997.

I didn't return until 2003 or 2004, I think, and we stayed at the MGM. We ate at the Aureole that trip at the Mandalay. I guess that restaurant has been there for ages.

My first trip was probably 1994 and stayed at Excaliber. Unless I lost a bet I can't see myself staying or gambling their again. I was a broke college kid and it was the cheapest place.

First trip was in 2004 and I stayed at the Exaclibur, I have no desire to ever really return there. On the strip the Mirage feels like home to the wife and I. Decent food choices, affordable suites, and good gambling, plus we get good comps there.

My first trip in 1976, we stayed at the Westward Ho. They had some rooms in the back that would hold 3 or 4 couples and had kitchen were very economical.

NO WAY! Many, many years ago (like 1988 or so) on one of my first Vegas visits, I failed to secure reservations before heading down on some business. I just assumed that big town, lots of hotel, lots of rooms, no problem. I went to a couple meetings after landing and about 5 p.m. decided to get a room. I don't recall the specifics, but "big conventions in town" only rooms available were WAY above my paltry per-diem. I panicked and called back to the office and one of our assistants said to stay put (I believe I was at a pay-phone using the company phone card) and she'd get right back to me. She calls back 15 minutes or so later and says she got me a room at the Circus Circus. I say, "perfect!" The room is not exactly in Circus, Circus, but in The Manor. That's one of three-(3) buildings out back.

As I recall, they were 3 stories each with no elevator or was broken, so I had to carry my stuff up the stairs and just the crappiest room with dirty red shag-carpeting (the deep stuff). The swag-lamp above a little table in the corner had pulled out of the ceiling and was just laying on the table with the sheet-rock stuff from the ceiling around it. The room reeked of smoke and there were cigarette burns on the tables and bathroom counter. The shower was small and yellowed. The mattress looked and felt like it was original from the grand opening of the property, which I think was in the 60's. It had everything except a white chalk outline of a body.

I stayed for 2 nights and suppose it was better than being out on the street, but the question was would I return? Ughhhhhhhh... the memory. I would return and often have to the Circus Circus Steakhouse though... a true hidden gem!

My first visit was in 1991 and stayed at "The Flamingo Hilton." It was awesome. I never stepped foot outside (other than coming in and to go home).

Now, it stinks....in more ways than one!!!!

My first stay was at the Las Vegas Hilton. We went to Wayne Newton's show. It's a great memory but I'd never stay at the now Westgate.

Mine was the Excalibur for my brothers wedding. I don't even think I left the 4 corners there when I was there (MGM, NYNY, Trop and Excalibur).
I remember having some mean games of bingo against that chicken at the Trop!
I'd stay at the Excalibur again. Kids are easy enough to ignore and the rooms aren't that terrible.
