I was playing at the Frontier. I had always been scared to play at the DI( it was the high roller casino). I played craps for awhile at the DI and enjoyed it and decided to try to stay there the next trip. A day or two later I saw the notice where they had been bought out and was being torn down.

I have stayed pretty much up and down the strip going back to 1997. My favorite is a tie between Palazzo and Hotel 32 at Monte Carlo. Honorable mentions would be Wynn and Mandarin Oriental.

I prefer staying at Aria. So far the best room there was a Panoramic Corner Suite. Typically stay at Mlife properties. However the 1 Bedroom overlooking the fountains is hard to beat at Cosmo as well.

    Let's try this again.

Ahhhh, my days at the Stardust were always memorable. I loved the "East Towers" (I think that is what they were called, even though they were facing South - at the motel complex part of the Stardust). The 3 story suites that opened up looking down the strip were old school - floor to ceiling windows and air conditioning overpowering. Always slept with the blinds open looking at the Frontier sign flashing in the distance.[/

I think for pure value and location it is hard to beat the Linq. I have stayed their my last 3 trips and it is affordable and is a great location. Quick access to an MGM property across the street at The Mirage and quick access to The Venetian/Palazzo.

The rooms are small but they are all new and updated.

Favorite has been Aria, really can't beat the location.

    Other places stayed:
    Mandalay Bay
    Luxor
    Excalibur
    NYNY
    Mirage
    Hooters
    Planet Hollywood
    Ballys

Least favorite is easily Hooters. Booked it for a work trip before I knew of comp system and was trying to save the company a few dollars.

I have stayed at Wynn, Bellagio, Aria, Cosmo and Mirage.
Among them Wynn Tower Suite is the best.
But I never liked their casinos (including Encore).
So I always low played them and the offers eventually dried up.

I need to branch out. I'm a creature of habit and tend to stay in the same places. MGM is the nicest place I've stayed so far.

    Excalibur (x5)
    Binions
    TI
    MGM
    Tropicana (x4)
    Ballys
    South Point
