I been fortunate to have stayed at most of the major properties in town over the years. I REALLY settled into the Hard Rock after they renovated and opened the two-(2) new towers (Paradise and HRH) in 2010. My "rationale" was/is different than most Vegas visitors, as my monthly visits centered around business in town. I like being in an off-strip hotel for the ease of getting around. With the HRH Tower's separate valet, super fast elevators (steps away from the exit to valet) and being on the corner of Harmon & Paradise, I can maneuver off property quickly. The room-product in the HRH Tower is very nice, Paradise tower a little less so and Casino Tower for the value-play. The staff has always been super kind to me and there's several really nice VP Bars for unwinding after the day.

Before that, I was loyal to the Encore and the Golden Nugget. Steve Wynn chased me away from Encore, when I plopped down at a bar, put a couple hundred in a VP machine and was asked immediately asked if my drink would be "cash or room charge?" I left the Nugget because it was tough to get a good night's sleep (remember, I have meetings in the morning) in the Gold Tower rooms of the north tower during construction of what was to become the Rush Tower. Though I like to poke fun at the "value-oriented" downtown crowd, I used to enjoy my Nugget stays when my business took me primarily north of downtown.

I never really warmed up to Caesar's or MGM... just too BIG for my use. Venetian and Palazzo are fine joints, but I'm no fan of the owners political views, so generally make a point to avoid them. I've had several nice stays out at the M, but the operative word is "out", cause it's a haul from everywhere.

I've stayed at many of the 4*/5* hotels on the Strip and like the Cosmo and Aria the best. Palazzo is nice as well since the basic suites are quite large, but not a fan of the location or gaming floor.

Seems like they're slowly improving after getting rid of Smisek. Haven't flown them in a long time, but might them a try again someday!

I'm glad he's gone. Oscar has the right idea.

Really dislike the family pre boarding thing they started today. I'm gonna start a thread about the flights so we have a place to discuss!

I have stayed at more than I can remember, taking into account I started going to Vegas in high school in 1960's.
The Thunderbird and Hacienda were early places we (always a few of us) stayed at.
Fondest memories were Caesars and the DI which seemed like the fanciest places I had ever encountered.
I stayed at both regularly through the Park Place ownership of CP and the additions to DI before Wynn got it.
    The Mirage was another world.
I like Wynn TS and Aria SS now, very different but lots of options.
Now if only Alon can actually get it done.
