I agree. Go start it. I rarely enjoy a public dump, but I will make exceptions and it's always nice to know where to go in an emergency.

 

Recently I've split my trips between Delano and Wynn. I prefer quiet, less crowded casinos. I have pretty good luck at mandalay but not so much at Wynn. Despite my lack of winning at Wynn I just love Wynn Tower, the restaurants, and everything else about the place. The more I stay there the more addicted to it I get.

 

That is one reason I prefer Palazzo - because the casino is usually less crowded and quieter. I like a loud craps table but a more subdued overall feeling.

There are times when I want the packed house and crazy energy and when I do then I will go to one where it is hopping

 

Favourite: Bellagio it some how feels more like a boutique resort.

List below is order of preference after Bellagio

• Encore
• Wynn
• Aria
• Palazzo
• Geezers Palace (shout out to Packer for the name change)

Probably my favorite out of all of them is Bellagio, just because they're good to me. As my username reflects

 

Ironically the places I love to stay at, gives me losses pretty much all the time: Encore, Palazzo, and Aria.

 

Picking a favorite is like choosing a favorite child. I would say my current favorite is the cosmo. I have stayed at:

Mandalay\Delano\4 seasons... I loved the 4 seasons and hate the location
Tropicana - loved the mirrors on the ceiling.. lol
Luxor - popped my cherry here. Almost puked going up the fucked up elevators into the atrium
MGM Signature - not again
Aria - love this place and the corner suite but they hate me
PH - always have fun here but never stay here
Paris - hated the rooms
Bellagio - loved the rooms but so many people everywhere
Cosmo - love relaxing on the balcony watching the fountains
IP - some good adventures here
Harrahs - meh
Venetian\Palazzo - miss this place alot
Golden Nugget - only place to stay downtown. Love it
Binions - yuck
4 queens - would rather stay home then here

 

Favourite Hotel - Venetian/Palazzo (for quality of rooms)

Places I've stayed - Have over 84 trips in the last 15 years so won't list dates but:
Excalibur - Good for what it is. First place I stayed at in 2001 on my first Vegas trip. Stayed there a few years ago in a renovated room and was pretty nice.
Mandalay Bay - Nice room, great view - years ago as well.
Planet Hollywood - My home base and actual favorite casino/hotel. I just like the rooms at V/P better but sacrifice for there. Vast majority of my stays, probably 65 or so since 2003 going back to the Aladdin days.
MGM Grand - Forget the name of the tower but the newer one. Very nice. Stayed here in 2002 in what was known as the 'Emerald Tower' at the time. I think it was a 4 floor Motel 6 they'd bought and incorporated into the hotel. Shitty and terrible. This soured me on MGM for a long time.
Cromwell - Great room (although very dark), great location!
Paris - Nice rooms although getting a little warn. Haven't stayed here lately though.
Harrahs - Nothing against it. Had a very nice suite here once. Basic room was fine.
Ballys - Nice as well.
Mirage - Room was ok. Like the casino. Not much into the North Strip though.
Flamingo - Fine as well. One of the smokiest casino's in Vegas.

 

My first trip was in 2009 and we stayed at Mandalay Bay. It's been my favorite ever since. You never get over your first...

Since then, I've had one other trip staying at MB. I've also stayed at Luxor, Planet Hollywood and Mirage. My least favorite has been Luxor, although I'm staying there again in April.

I need to get my ass to Vegas more.
