If you don't want the extra nights, then it is very easy to upgrade the room.

A balcony is a huge improvement. I always thought staying at Cosmo without a balcony doesn't make much sense.

Negotiate with the host. Maybe offer to pay for the upgrade if a certain play level isn't reached by the end of the trip.

$250/hand is way high for a City Room. What might affect it which nights of the week you want comped, and which week. If they're early in the week after the first week of games, then $100 / hand should be enough.

For Sun - Weds, a City Room is:
    136 - 152 - 160 - 152 for Mar 20 -24
    112 - 112 - 112 - 120 for Mar 27 - 31
    580 - 180 - 252 - 172 for Apr 3 - 6

Every time a see someone post a minimum play quote from a host it's almost always at least twice as much as what I know will do it. They highball the quotes.

You will be able to get marketing offers for much less action that that but of course that doesn't help you here. I don't play $250 a hand and my offers range from 2 to 4 nights.

$250 is way high. As mentioned $100 hand with fours a day won't piss anyone off.

    I'm not so sure.

it's at least that at MGM. at B/Aria/Wynn it really is $200-250 just for a regular room.

considering Cosmo's reduced theo calculations on many games, I have no doubt you really do need $250 to cover a basic room.

For sure reduced theo calculations by allot but I believe also reduced internal room rates.

OP didn't say what he plays, if it's BJ I can see the higher quote. But $100/hand on craps for 4 hours will still get you a room and offers at Aria. I'd be surprised if it didn't get you a room at Cosmo as well, but I'm not spending any serious time at tables there until I get the full scoop on exactly how they're doing tier credits there for tables now.

Mainly BJ/craps. $1-200 base bet a hand and always play 2 hands if just me at the table. Typically up to 3-5x variance. Craps around $500 base but play aggressive with winnings usually. BJ/craps mix is prob 70/30%. Never less than 4-6 hours/day.

Host sent me screenshot of internal system (was surprised by this) and showed rate of 140 but that's week nights on peak week (MM).
