Thanks VBJ, yes, I'm in Ohio near Cleveland and weather is breaking here, which has me contemplating that exact type of trip. Even though I'm not much of a camper, I've kicked it around. If nothing else, just some hiking would be beneficial, and there is a definite need to turn noise down for a bit, I'm going to kick that around too. I also have a couple days off prior to the planned trip, and am already planning full biking (bicycle) days, and will likely mix in some hiking too. One of the nice perks up here is our metroparks and bike trails, Can go for hours, with no distractions.

Best of luck. It sounds like you are openly facing and trying to deal with the crap confronting you, and that is about as healthy of a thing as you can do for yourself. I like Veej's idea, a lot. Your bike, your boots, green and fresh; I'm a bit of a heretic because I don't think everything begins and ends with Vegas.

Just wanted to give an update, since I posted this in the first place. Was planning on going on the trip, but found out daughter was singing national anthem with her choir at a minor league game on May 1. So obviously that trumps any trip. However, as I was sitting around, I realized, that I could probably get Casino Windsor for 2 nights, and make the short drive up there to get away. (For the most part, I can't stand a casino if I'm visiting it and can drive home, either I stay there, or I don't go). Anyway I was able to book Wed and Thurs, and add in the exchange rate right now is on the right side for me and I still wind up with a small trip. Plus airfare stocked away for sometime in summer, and no chance of ruining my offers from my Vegas properties.

I have cancelled a trip before, glad that I did as looking back it was the right thing to do but man was it hard to do at the time.
