That was more a few years ago when it was all A list performers. These days it's second and third tier acts and it's not nearly the draw it used to be.

But still I just can't see anyone who can get good seats risking it for some tip money.

Shifter is definitely right. I once thought about selling some Nba playoff seats in the mgm props luxury suite. When I picked them up, I found out that there is always a host from property at the event. That would have been very bad. I had a very good time and am glad I didn't. I think it is well understood not to sell comps. It just takes that one time getting busted for it to all end, even on more obscure events where it would be harder to detect they were sold.

Last year for fight week (UFC189), we had bought tickets for the event through the marketing person that we deal with at MB, as we aren't big enough players to get them comped. We were there right when their ticket office opened. We got our tickets and were headed back to our room and there was a guy within 100ft of the office asking to buy tickets. I wasn't going to sell anyway because we had just paid for them, but I thought that maybe he was there as an employee to run a sting on people getting comps and then selling them.

Resale on ufc seats is about 15-20%. I dont care which card it is. I have picked up tickets for friends for about $40-60 for $1000 face tickets at 3 events, one being ufc 200

And while I am at it, the UFc isnt worth $400 million much less 4 billion. Crazy, brand is on the decline and going to be facing a labor showdown with their " independent contractors" in the near future.

Im calling it, this sale will be a JOKE in 4 years.

I've bought comp tickets to NCAA basketball stuff in Vegas. It's not even close to high dollar UFC stuff, but the guys were really open and told me that he needed to pick them up from the host to get them to me. Great deals....

Did you buy them from people you knew or from a Craigslist type website or outside the venue?
