I always wondered about that. Heard stories of people leaving commission...do they comp it off sometimes?

 

This was from another post. This was back in the 90's. This is why you see me set chips aside to pay the commission. The last I heard is Nevada Gaming will not let the casino comp the Commission so they can't comp it. They either remove it if they can not collect from the player or they will noted in the player profile and ask for it later. If it is not too much they just pick up the lamer but up to the pit manager. Dealer has to check. I see it a lot on the floor. A lot of players have skipped out on commission.





A long time ago I was chasing and went all in lost and had over $900 in commission. I'm tapped. Line gone. No money.

The pit bass said Nevada gaming won't let me comp the commission. I had enough points he told me to go to the cage the will give me $1k for cashing in my points and then bring the money back to pay the commission.

I did that and had a few bucks left for the tip for limo driver to airport.

I've ask a few casinos and they all said the same thing if you are a know. Player they will hold it and ask you to pay it on the next trip or when you can. Or ask you to pay it with cashing in points or if the Host will comp you a cash rebate.

They are not allow to comp the commission but can give you money at the cage for losses or rebates to pay it

I had a degen experience in my early 20s which ended in a walk of shame from one large strip casino to another, outdoors in the morning sunlight with no sunglasses and no sleep. Except it didn't actually end there because it was departure day and I had to pack my friend's stuff since she never came home, find her (pre cell phone!) and then cram into a car of people driving back to SoCal.

I didn't go back until I was married! And I almost always fly.

Gambling-wise I definitely have degen qualities but I scared myself out of them when I was 18 at an Indian casino. I paid for that trip for a long time financially and emotionally!
