I know everyone is up in arm about paying to park at MGM. Most hotels in major cities or resort destination charge a fee for parking. I've often seen $40 a night or more in NYC.

 

I'm not sure if you're talking the Vegas market or Hawaii, but both are in the top three or four for costs. But in both instances there are plenty of value plays. And locals pricing is a must in vacation-overpriced markets.

 

It's like $50 in San Francisco.... Awful....

 

I'm specifically talking about Vegas. A local pays a fraction of a tourist. I'll play cascata on a comp. I just like getting out, so I'm not stuck on always playing a high end course.

 

I know. Even freakin' Berkley was $50!

Stripper degen story.

My sis was getting marreid and about 50 people traveled to Vegas for the occasion.

The day before the wedding my sister tells me, We need to throw a last minute bachelor party for the groom.

WTF, I barely knew him as they lived in a another state. Whatever, she knew I had expereince in this stuff, and could get something done.

Well, I called up my local degenerate high school buddy, who has lived in LV for 25 years. He gives me some good contacts, and I ordered in 3 strippers to my room that evening. I told the dudes it would be 1k+ tips, and they said cool.

I was sharing my room with my 70 old lonely Dad, whose never even seen a Live stripper before, but he was fine with it. (Mom died a few years prior).

Well, I got the groomsman to head for Booze and food, and decided to go gamble for a few hours. Be back after afew shoes, no big deal. Wrong!

Thats when the Degen in me took hold. I gambled for 12+ straight hours and blew off the party. I thought my Dad was going to really be upset. NOPE! I make it back to the room and my old dad was grinning from ear to ear. The hotel room was chaos After the crazy ass bachelor event was over, our hotel room was bombarded with phone calls all night, asking if we needed more girls. My Dad thought I was a rock star, and all these chicks wanted me, but I was just a donkey getting my ass kicked at the tables, and missed the 3 headed freak show that I booked.

Seems the girls were top notch little party girls, and the Nebraska/Texas money was being dished out like ice cream, and my old man had the time of his life. Seems my degenning cost me a really good party that night.

My Brother, and male relatives still quote my Dad. I guess he said, "Come here Big Momma!", which was a hot girl that weighed about 150, and the others were little petite girls. The girl did'nt like it much, I told my Dad that it would cost him a $100 fine. I guess he paid it and had the best lap dance by 3 girls imaginable. Sad, I missed it.

I was not a happy Degenerate that night, but really happy my Dad got a small taste of Vegas degeneracy.

 

We paid something like 25/day last fall in Spokane. Spokane.

 

Usually go once a yr, sometimes two. Always go with the same family member, never the wife. Just got back last week. 2.5 yr old at home. Baby due late July. Moving states around then too. Want to go back in early July. Wife is generally ok with me going but haven't pressed my luck with too frequent trips. She wouldn't be thrilled with a solo trip. Have to convince relative, wife, then relative has to convince his wife (whom I've met twice and absolutely loathes me with the power of 100 suns Goes so far as to mention divorce when he brings up LV with me). Money is money. LV money set aside but not independently wealthy.

Here is another that might increase my degen status.

Started play VP at Whiskey Down and after a couple hours and a whiskey and rye tasting that were full poors of 4 different kinds ... in addition to my fire in the holes decided to go take a leak but ended up at the LIR table (not really on the way to the restroom) was there long enough that they bartender (Vanessa ) came looking for me to close out my tab ... she knew right where I was. I have also done the opposite and started at the LIR table and made an extended detour to the VP at the bar.
