I went out in May with my gf and was suppose to have a guy's trip in September. Due to me degening it up at the local and the last several trips out to Vegas have been disastrous losers, gotta scale it down. Only thing keeping me sane is living thru others trip reports and planning my return trip in 2017 for Super Bowl weekend

Wow! This will sound like a lecture but I can identify with both sides here. I can understand that life on life's terms can wreak havoc on the best laid plans. I have family with needs as well and sometimes tough choices have to be made. If the circumstances are truly dire and not directly the result of irresponsibility and piss-poor decision-making, I help even if it means delaying my own gratification for a bit. My choices are just that, my choices.
That does not give me the freedom to denigrate others if it appears they have "luxury" problems while my world crashes down around me. We all have varying abilities to indulge in activities and travels allowing us to escape our lives for a bit. I come to these boards for similar escape when I'm unable to personally enjoy a Vegas trip and appreciate the storytelling aspect of the various members.
Shit, I'm lecturing from my soapbox and this board is still about fun and shenanigans for me. When the fun stops, and we're never too old to have fun, put me out of my misery.
