Someone in comments to one of the news stories about this suggested that the "boy peeing" statue brought evil spirits. I' m hoping that was a joke but I have no faith in humanity so it probably wasn't.

I just think people should be more open to thought perspectives -- whether it be humor or otherwise. It's not politically correct to be respectful when someone dies. But there's also no reason to shut down someone who makes a joke about it, even if it's in bad taste. Obviously it's a slippery slope or a sliding scale, but I prefer to err on the side of letting people say whatever they want and, if you have a problem with it, don't shut them down or delete it or pretend it never happened ... say you disagree and say why. That's free speech in action. Speech, counter speech. Let is all flow. I'm always disturbed that people so frequently want to limit what others are saying. This isn't a justification for things like hate speech. I say let the hateful people expose themselves and be shouted down.

    And ... thread diversion complete.

I completely agree. It has become taboo to voice an unpopular point of view in a public setting. People with unpopular views are often silenced or labeled malcontents. What happened to accepting differences of opinion? It's all-or-nothing now.

I am thinking this was some stupid drunken accident. It is early, but they do not seem to be the type to be involved in more than some normal Vegas weekend fun.

Like may be they put her in the chute to tease her, and she freaked out and accidenatlly was dropped
