Platinum for me---I cannot believe the terrible offers though. We go 3-4 times a year and would expect a little better than we get.

I rack up 300,000+ points to make platinum annually. The thing is, I only go to Vegas once a year. 500,000+ per trip would require a lot of play in my opinion.

I've never properly bothered to calculate the true value of comps that I could reasonably expect to ask for, as all my RFB is covered. I guess I don't eat as much, and I don't watch enough shows. Can someone calculate for me what I should expect for the following play (on craps): US$150 average bet, 6-7 hours a day, 10 days.

    From Shifter's sticky.........

    Craps accumulate theo at $758/hour/1000

    so.....
    ($150 average bet/ 1000) x $758 =$113.70 theo/hour

    $113.70 x 6.5 hours x 10 days = $7390.50 theo for your trip

At 30%, you should have $2217 of available comps. That should also include the comp value of your room. I'm not sure what your FB charges are and what kind of room/property you are staying at. The numbers would give you about $220 comps/day. I doubt you have any more available comps.

Others may want to chime in.

Thanks for that. It really helps. It also shows me that I'm playing way more (average bet) then I think I am...
During a main convention week in April, the room rates shoot up, so I reckon a Diamond Suite with my F&B probably comes to $4k. Whoops...I better watch my average bet (I don't include the odds bet correct?).

I'm not sure what you mean. I used the average bet number you gave.
At mlife, they don't count odds. Shifter's numbers are for mlife. CET count odds, but the theo number would be a lower multiplier.
You should ask the floorman before you leave the table, what he has your average bet at. Your host should be able to give you all your numbers as well.

the comp rate doesn't change just because a convention is in town.

don't know what a Diamond suite is though?

I used the expected level of comps that you calculated (around US$2k) for that type of play I advised, whereas my actual level of comps was US$4k (a little bit over this actually) for last year. This would suggest that my average bet is much higher than the one I advised you of previously.

The Diamond Suite is a one bed suite with separate living room and wet bar/kitchen, in the Monte Carlo. I don't think it's a particularly expensive suite, but during the larger Broadcaster convention in April, the rooms are jacked up in price.

It can't be less than $200 comp value per night. So for 10 nights that's 2k. Don't know how much F&B you're running but 4k total doesn't sound unreasonable.

Noir by invite. Think I had 4.5 million tcs in 3 trips through there props. It has no value.

What I was shocked abiut is they kept my status this year. I have not set foot in one of their properties in some time.
