    That's slots at a 10% hold.

VP is about 1/5 that or less.

With CET, you earn 1 tier credit for $5 coin in. For video poker, you generally earn 1 tier credit for $10 coin in. There are some VP machines that require $25 coin in for 1 TC.
So, if it was VP, the theo should be half....$300.

I'm not a Cosmo player.....so maybe the logic doesn't track well.

Sorry, I'm going to retract. The host said theo is 50% of TC for slots. The low hold on VP would make it much less.

But then he also mentions playing a lot of VP so I'm confused.

I can't figure out why it took him so long at $2.50 a spin 6k should only take 2 maybe 3 hours. Yet he said it took forever.

Alright, settle down! For the purposes of edification only. I checked 3 places for rates - aggregateor websites, my mlife acct online and by calling. I paid $588 for 3 nights over Valentine's weekend, resort fee included. Like I said this was abt 30% cheaper than I could find online. I also called (either mlife or mirage directly, I don't remember) to get it. My offers thru my online account were higher than that but cheaper than thru an online aggregator, ie hotels.com. According to my mlife account I put in $6,462.44 thru the slots. I assume this counts VP but not positive. This particular trip was 90% slots. Past trips have been mostly VP. I would say this trip more than doubled my previously rated high coin-in. My $15 -$25 table play and $20 sports bets aren't high enough to rate. Now, my first five trips or so I didn't use a card but after reading and learning thru you all I decided I was perhaps missing out. This was the first trip that I made sure to use it almost all the time. And yes, it took me three days to get that much coin in. I would say I averaged close to a buck and a quarter to a buck fifty a spin. It took flipping forever. I managed to get 62,250 tier credits. Before I checked out, I checked with the Mlife desk and they comped the resort fees. I am short 12.75k for the gold level.

I am merely curious as to others experiences so I can have some idea what my expectations should be. One guy said he has changed tiers up and down and the offers didn't change. When I sign into my mlife acct and go to "my offers" it says next to each hotel "mlife exclusive tier discount". That says to me that offers change based on tiers. The other poster hasn't had that experience so was just wondering. Another poster said he gambles 5k per trip and was assigned a host and gets snail mail. I don't know what he means by "gambles". Is that coin-in? Loses? Brings in cash? If its coin-in, I "beat" that by 20%. I am joking - but where's my host!? Where's my snail mail!? Someone else questioned why it took me so long and said they put 3k in an hr at VP at $3.75 a hand. That's like 13 hands a minute. I don't play that fast. I wouldn't and can't play that fast.

I never said anything abt a host. I never said anything abt freeplay or free rooms or free food. I said, I hope I get a better rate next time. I base that on a doubling of my previous high coin-in. I was just wondering if that's unreasonable. A few have stated it takes months for new offers to come in. I said that's unfortunate bc I want to book another trip in a limited time frame in the summer.

I detect the implication that I am lying and/or being greedy. But what else can I tell you?

First off, tier credits mean nothing. They are more of a distraction than anything. You can earn tier credits by gambling OR spending money at MLife properties. I think that a majority of your tier credits were earned this way.

If your coin in is ONLY $6k...don't expect to receive much in the form of "better offers"....UNLESS...your last trip was the first time that you used the card (I'm still not clear here)....you can MAYBE expect a discount of some sort....MAYBE 35 to 40 percent. You are not a very big gambler in the eyes of MGM.

I hope this helps clarify things.....

I think you are being overly sensitive. I was asking questions.....and probably others......to make an educated answer. Coin in, bank roll, tier credits can mean a multitude of things. As an aside, your play would probably get you midweek comped nights at a few CET properties. CET is more generous with comp nights. Take it for what it is.....it's not Cosmo or Skylofts.
