Tropicana - circa 1976, nothing like what it is now. A sprawling motel like property. There was literally nothing to the south except the Mojave until you got to Henderson, which seemed miles and miles away. Rodney Dangerfield was the lounge act.

MGM - Late 70's, before the fire. Now Bally's. The CW's looked like movie starlets. THE hip place to be, like Cosmo is today.

Harrah's - I had a mouse in the room.

Treasure Island - TI - I never had a problem here, except for the explosions from the pirate show. The best Strip view I have ever had. Still my favorite place to gamble.

Orleans - A bitter lesson learned. A local's dump. Room had cockroaches and I was bitten by fleas.

Mirage - My home away from home. Have stayed there many times. I feel secure in familiar surroundings.

Golden Nugget - Same as above except that it is starting to get a bit pricey, unless you want to stay in the Carson Tower.

 

My very first trip to Vegas we stayed at the stardust and then i was hooked . Since then we have stayed at many different ones , we have stayed at Aria sky suites the last 4 trips and I love it there . One of these times i am going to try Wynn /Encore
