Hey Shifter so you think it's bad to play at the Cosmo? Do you think it's much harder to get comps there because of their Calculations on theo?

depends on what you're looking for. at the lower end where you're just looking for a free room, they seem to be giving those out these days.

at the higher end when you're looking to spend comps on expensive things, it sucks to get half as much to spend.

As a "lower end" player I can attest that room offers aren't terribly difficult to get.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how Cosmo comes up with average bet numbers, so I just stopped playing there. I would have $100 pass line, max odds, cover all the numbers with $100 (or $120 6/8) and $25 opn all the hardways with another $5 each hardway for the crews.

Asked mid session what they had me in at and the dude tells me $160 average. wtffffff

(no need to tell me how dumb my craps strategy is, Im well aware)

I'll be experiencing Craps in the Cosmo in the next couple of weeks (actually, probably this Saturday). Not sure what to say about the average bet calculation would have been pegged that way. I have read that the pit would check your first bet and then monitor for average bet (but this is all subject to the table being busy, and keeping tabs on everyone). As for your strategy, there's definitely nothing wrong with it if you're hitting numbers and points. I've digested about 10 new strategies to try soon, and no doubt I'll get walloped trying all of them....I fucking love this game !!!

I've tried scaling back on the numbers I place but if a hard 4 hits and Im not on that shit its insta tilt. Plus its Vegas so im never sober when Im playing

Ill be at Cosmo cinco weekend then again memorial day weekend, and Ill probably be too lazy to walk across the street to play elsewhere so Im sure ill judt deal with the crap ratings. Let us know how your visit goes wrt rating/conditions etc

I am 100% with you. I play the same all the time. If I start to get short stacked and don't want to take another marker..........and start to let some of my bets drop off............. I feel sick if I see some of my regular bets hit.....like a hard 4 or hard 10.

Seconded. Nothing is worse than being short stacked, having a usual number hit, celebrating/breathing a sigh of relief, and then realizing just you didn't play it! It almost feels like a loss at that point.

I'll be in town for Cinco weekend as well! Would you be interested in meeting up and rolling the bones? I'm a low roller who normally plays $3 craps at the Fremont, but I'd consider giving the strip a shot as I'd like to generate some offers to bring my mom out.

yeah buddy. We can try and aim for midday or something to try and get the tables at $10 if youre trying to stay lower on the avg bet side. I promise you though, if you want offers from a strip property, and you want those offers to come from craps, we would be best going somewhere else. Cosmo would be an ideal spot to bring your Mom. Any chance you have some slot budget set aside? Cosmo is a lot like CET ime as far as compong table game players, it doesn't go too well. I think even if you put some time in on a VP machine you would be better off than min betting their craps table.

Either way, Im staying there 5/4-5/8 so let me know when we get closer what your plan is as far as the strip goes
