I am far too classy to say that to you. But I am not above saying it to your mother tonight after some green beers.....

I have a comp stay at CP booked for June. I am not diamond yet, but will hit it easily with this during the trip. Is it worth hitting a local in April to have the diamond status prior to the June trip? Also, I'm guessing if I earn diamond while there in June, I won't be able to reap the benefits until a future trip anyway.

Some you will, some you won't. Last year I hit diamond on a Friday or Saturday and was able to waive the rest of my resort fees and use the two free show tickets. I was also able to use the diamond lounges, thought when they swiped my cards it still said I was platninum but they just had to look up how many points I had in the system and it was all good. The only thing I didn't get was the $100 celebration dinner, they said that takes up to a week to show up on the account and there is nothing you can do.

So really, is it worth going and spending a ton at a local casino so you can have a $100 dinner on your Vegas trip? Probably not.

Shit. Looks like the bonus won't be applied until July. So my trip will already be complete. I would have to earn diamond the regular way.

Plus you can sign up for their credit card. One purchase and you are immediately Platinum. You are then a third of the way to Diamond.

So is it my understanding that if I don't have the TR credit card, its best to get one on my stay, then us that spring bonus to try and leap frog to Diamond?

The credit card changes your status, but not your Tier score. You still need 15,000 points for Diamond.

The announcing dude at slot tournament this weekend said the bonus is retroactive to April 1st, no matter when you sign up. Not sure if it's accurate, but I was sober and pretty sure that's what I heard.
