What was your first bet in a high limit room and on what game?

My first was playing video poker in the high limit room at Cosmo on the 50 play quarters machine. Service was top notch. I barely got my money into the machine before a waitress showed up. I still haven't done table games.

Probably the HL slots at the Beau. The service was fantastic and the waitresses were actually hot.

My first HL bet was in the early 90's at Ballys. Went to the high limit room and sat down at a $100 bj table. Was really nervous and anxious starting at that level as I was really only a $25 player at that point.

Kind of in the same boat. I think it's mostly a psychological thing for me right now. At least at the machine I can slow roll it while enjoying the atmosphere.

It was at the Mirage back in 2003. Friend was on a tilt. He kept losing at BJ while I kept winning. He was taking a beating for the rest of the table so he went to the HL room to change his luck. I eventually colored up and found him. I ended up sitting down and I think the limits were around $100. Ended up playing for an hour and walked away from the table basically even. Friend won about 1k.

Around 2002 when I used to play around $25-$50 a hand in bj. Was in ballys ac high limit room before the remodel. Bought in with $500 at $100 min table. After that trip, met a lot of regulars over the time that would be there weekly/biweekly. Was great times back then.

I've never ventured into a HL room as I'm not sure what the slot mins would be? Typically what would a min VP or slot run me in a HL room? Are we talking $50 a pull?

My first experience was at the Mirage in 2009 I believe. I walked into high limit and the waitress immediately came and took my drink order. I bought in for $750 at a 100 minimum blackjack table. I lost the first 3 hands and then I got a blackjack. I proceded to lose every hand after that until my buyin plus my blackjack payoff was gone. I remember standing at the table thinking I just paid $750 for a cocktail.
