Steve Wynn just announced HUGE plans to redevelop the golf course as Paradise Park. Crystal lagoon with white sand beach, water ski show during the day, fireworks every night. Rooms with terraces surrounding the lagoon. "Bringing beach life to Las Vegas."

    Guess it is true.

So more to the resort Fee. They are going to charge a Resort fee and now a Access FEE. Wonder if MGM PGP will start doing that too a resort fee then a Access fee to go in the other areas of the resort if you are not staying there.

Admission to Wynn Paradise Park will be between $20-50. Steve Wynn was caught on a hot mic saying that "People who stay in the hotel are going to be charged a new service fee," presumably to access Wynn Paradise Park. This fee would be lower than general, non-guest admission.

    WOW.

Maybe the "access fee" is just to cut down on the non-guest/gawkers at the property? That's part of why I only stay at Bellagio occasionally, there's so many damn non-guests that are bumbling around the property in the Lobby/Conservatory/Fountains that it makes trying to get anywhere a pain in the ass for people who are actually staying there. Trying to navigate a herd of Asian Tourists trying to take pictures of the Lobby and Conservatory and everything in between is like the seventh ring of hell...

    Preach!

As far as the Wynn news...I'm downright giddy!

Sure, the new place will almost certainly be inundated with douchtastic club kids and the like - but I imagine dealing with them will be a relatively small price to pay (as it is with Encore now).

Entry fee to the hotel if you aren't a registered guest or a friend of a registered guest. Ten dollars a person just to walk through the doors. Talk about exclusivity. Nobody would be or go there!

Another thing taken away from the gamblers (golf course) and given to the club goers (day club beach bar etc) ... Good for him but I will be gambling elsewhere.

Look for more today but someone on the twitter mentioned the "rumor" of wynn buying another 18 hole course off site which would then leave a 9 hole on site and 18 hole off site course for the gamblers that stay there to play.

Most of the appeal of WGC is the roll-out-of-bed aspect. Anyone can go offsite.
