I travel a lot, and fortunately most of my travel is company sponsored. The vast majority of my Vegas trips unfortunately are not. In the past 3 years, I've booked some great deals on BA, Qatar, Lufthansa and Royal Jordanian on business class seats back to a U.S. Hub and sometimes all the way into LAS. I'm talking $1400 on Qatar into Philly (miles on AA from PHL to LAS) and $1800 on BA with a one hop from LHR to LAS.

My recent dilemma is this: all of the European business class flights are now running 4 grand. I've never seen anything like it. I've even looked into Condor, Thomas Cook, Edelweiss and Norwegian and they all seemingly are able to fuck anyone flying to Vegas for the next 4 months. BA and AF are the worst offenders.

Any advice? I can get rebates in the neighborhood of $1000 by hooking in a Reno trip, but that's still +/- 3 grand out of pocket. There has to be some deals out there. I'm open to flying from Munich, Vienna, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Cairo, Amman, Dubai, and really any of the other European hubs if the price is right.

I know there's a few Brits on here and you guys are always trying to find the best deals as you continually get skewered. This is really starting to piss me off. I'm targeting October 5-17. Thank you in advance!

Have a look with Google flights with starting points DUB, CPH, AMS and ARN. That is what I usually use and I see available flights for your dates starting around $2500

All this time I've been using Kayak, Orbitz, Expedia, Priceline etc. as well as the BA, AF etc. corporate sites. BA's prices are astronomical.

Google flights is amazing. I actually found the best price out of Budapest ($2418) of all places. Go figure. These prices are still high, but tolerable.

    Thanks hkch!

Nice if I could help. You are right, no real good offers around, my flight I arrived with today from DUB did cost below 1500. But with google flights at least searching is quite comfortable, also regarding close by airports etc

Google flights is amazing. The best part is the ease of changing city and date combinations without having to repopulate all of the data fields. It actually makes searching for travel deals easy. I owe you a drink my friend.... Hell, make it two!

I've never found it worthwhile or a better value to fly Virgin, since I can get a direct from Heathrow, and I actually like the window seats upstairs on the old 747's. (Storage compartments/ more personal space)

In the past year I have flown twice R/T on BA for under 2 grand. Once originating in Cairo and the other in Vienna. Those routes have jumped $700- $1200. Turkish is a good carrier with modernized seats but I'm not a fan of 2 connections and changing carriers to get to LAS.

I used BA most times the last 10 or so trips as I also like seats 62K etc. Old but comfortable. I have always found prices below 2000 starting from DUB or CPH when I am flexible and book when offers are out. But when the date is fixed things get more complicated, as I see with the tickets for my 50th in December. Paid also over 2000 but below 2500

As we travel from England to Vegas 2 maybe 3 times per year, we have tried just about every carrier. After the first few trips we flew Iberia, as we lived in southern Spain, after that we used various carriers from England, some of which no longer exist.
If you can stand two stops, I believe Delta/KLM offer BC from UK via Amsterdam, then on to Detroit or Chicago before Vegas. Worth an enquiry?

so we are going to Ireland next Spring on a golf trip. LAX - DUB, coach is $633, business class is $4000 !!! Quite a difference. They are also hosing you if you want to use miles. Best miles so far is like 455,000 miles for 2 business class tickets. We used to be able to get these for 220k-250k miles just a few years ago.

At first, I was like WTF you are from Yuma, just drive? Then I got it! LOL! You're from Yuma, you work in Software, you do not require prescription glasses when you drive.
