I am back in Kansas. I ended up losing a total of $3200. I will say this though the Oyster Bar at Palace Station was amazing. I had the combo pan roast at a level 7 spicy, I'd make the trip back there just to eat that.

I will type up a detailed report of everything that happened in the next few days. Doing this live is much harder than one would think, then add in the work aspect it is about impossible.

Ok I will give a run down of events for my four day work trip. To start with the Palace Station, the room wasnt terrible considering, but I hate there are no other casinos withing walking distance. I brought $2500 cash and told myself I wouldn't spend a dime more, of course you all now know that wasnt the case. With in the first few hours after landing and getting checked in I managed to lose $1800 of the $2500 I brought. Palace station had 6 double deck pitch blackjack tables with good rules, except H17 with minimums starting at $5. They also have tons of baccarat tables and have midi starting at $25. If you are big into video poker they have a ton of great paytables. That said the casino is very smokey and not really that big and the dealers appear to hate life. i noted the very first time I entered the casino the amazing smell coming from the Oyster bar, this ended up being the only restaurant I ate at, at the Palace Station on my last day.

I shot downtown and just couldn't get anything going, I'd get up a few hundred then lose it back. While downtown I hit the buffet at Fremont for seafood night, nothing amazing but the crab was fresh as was the shrimp and I had a comp slip so didn't pay for it. Headed back to Palace station around 10pm and thought about heading to bed but instead I lost the last $700 I had of the $2500 I brought. This was not the plan and I took $700 more out of the ATM, turned that into $1000 and went to bed.

Hit the conference on day 2 of the trip and did my best to stay awake, when it was over I shot down to the Mirage and earned a quick $1100 back, hit Caesars Palace diamond lounge and ate a free dinner and had many drinks. I headed back to Palace Station and was able to get most of my money back and was only down $400 for the trip so I had $2800 in my pocket. I had cashed out and was planning to go to bed but I walked past an empty baccarat table that nobody had played a hand and I felt luck was on my side, sadly it was not. i lost $2200 in the matter of about 45 minutes between baccarat and blackjack. If I bet player it was banker, if i bet banker it was player. if I had a 20 in blackjack dealer had a 21. Finally called it with $600 bucks left and went to bed.

Hit the conference again then went downtown. Once downtown I quickly turned the $600 into $1500 and was feeling like maybe I could pull out a win. Played some blackjack and was super aggressive but sadly in one shuffle I turned the $1500 into $150. I walked away and as I passed the baccarat table at the Golden Nugget I just put the $150 down on banker, it hit, I stacked the $300 and it hit again, sadly that was the last hand and they shuffled so I walked with $575 after commission and a small tip. Walked over to the D high limit and bought in for the full $575 at double deck, started out stupid hot and turned the $575 into $1000 in no time, decided to press and play hard, lost it all before the end of the shuffle. Had dinner at Andiamo then returned to the Palace Station with my head hung in shame and ending the gambling.

On my last day I did a half day at the conference then had lunch at the oyster bar in the Palace station, then caught an uber to the airport and flew home.

This was one of those trips when I pressed at all the wrong times and couldnt get any good runs going. No trips planned as of right now but hoping I can win the grand prize and see UFC 197. I learned I will never stay off strip again as I hate being away from all of the fun. Thanks for following along and I learned I wont be doing another live report it is much to hard.

We've all been there. Thanks for taking the time to write it up - that's never fun when you've gotten your teeth kicked in.
