Have you ever had a problem with the bank telling you no because it is too much cash?

One time I went to my local bank to get $10k and they told me I needed to call ahead next time because they don't keep that much cash on hand. I am like wtf? Isn't that what banks are for? I would like to keep a separate bank account for my bank roll and then hit the bank on my way in and out of town like you recommend but I sure would hate it if they didn't have cash on hand.

Yes, I've seen it before when the bank asks to be called ahead if it is sometimes more than $5k.

Get a traveler's belt or passport necklace. 100 bills is not that fat of a stack. Put the bills somewhere that they can't fall out or get stolen and off you go. When you get to Vegas put it in your safe. If you happen to win, get a check to take home with you.

yes, depending on your branch and the particular day, they might have hardly any cash.

I had to drive to 3 Chase branches in LV one time because the first 2 didn't have enough cash.

it's always best to call a week before and talk to the manager and order the amount you need.

Wells Fargo turned me away for $5K. They asked me if I'd take 50's so I left.

I agree it's bad but I've had worse experiences with Chase. Is there such a thing as a good bank?

I use a smaller credit union and they want me to call ahead for over $5k.. They said during the week it usually wouldn't be a problem but I like to go in Saturday's..
The big pain in the ass is they won't do a wire transfer online or by phone so you have to do them in person.

WF must have a stock pile of $50's. That is all you get out of their ATM's and withdrawal from teller she always say I have to add in some $50's. I took a wad of them last vegas trip, but better than $20's I guess.
