Referring to the OP, I think each of the three forums cater to a slightly different market.

1. VMB caters to the newb, IMO. People that are looking for information about Vegas with questions like, where do I stay, what do I do, and what restaurant should I eat at? They give away nothing.

2. VB caters to people who love party and have a great time in Vegas no matter what that means... anything goes. The majority of members here have been to Vegas many times, have established histories, and are generally in the "know." More advanced knowledge is spread like, calculation of theo, general hold percentages on certain games, etc. Generally not for newbs, but that doesn't mean we judge or look down on anyone who decides to join regardless of knowledge. This community embraces all colors, genders, and fetishes. In fact, we encourage members to let loose and post about their real, uncensored Vegas vacations / fantasies. This community gives away high-roller experiences, UFC tickets where you sit next to celebs, and party at the mansion at the MGM. Front row seats to big MLife concerts. Quite a difference from $100 freeplay coupons.

I don't think you'll find another open community on the internet whose common interest / main focus is Vegas. But, I've been wrong before.

 

I don't think the hobbyist did it... I think she has a team working on it for her.

But, four months compared to a few weeks is still a long time. Granted... shifter had no posts to migrate, but I'm not sure that would be that difficult either.

That said, I have a degree in Computer Science and was a software developer for many years, so it's probably a much simpler problem to me.

I would assume that since they've moved platforms, the trip report migration tool is now defunct?

Yeah... I'd be willing to bet my bottom dollar that Xenforo makes a migration tool to help with this process. Migrating the old posts to the new platform would be the most difficult part even if there were a tool... but I'm still willing to bet it wouldn't be that hard for someone who was the least bit computer savvy.

I mingle across all three boards. I don't discriminate. I find useful info and read captivating TRs on all boards. I happen to spend more time on the other site simply because I know and/or have interacted with more people on there. Yeah, I'm old as fuck and like to look at young tail...fuck it! I'm sure as hell not going to look at old tail!

I already stated why I left the other board. There was someone who telling people that I was a hooker. What pissed me off is when I received a citation for being "rude" to another member, yet this person was allowed to remain a member after telling people that I made my money via illegal means.

I don't check for her posts because she is a non-factor, but it's in her best interest that I never find out that we are in Vegas at the same time
