But the long and short of it is when this site started there was a lengthy discussion about the ins and outs of what went down. Much of what you're asking about (including all migrations listed) was covered at some point and in detail.

But I also think some of that content has been removed.

 

Like Broncofn -- and others -- the content here is just something I like. I've basically moved to this board exclusively, and I've pledged to keep all TRs exclusive to Vegas Boards. I like the people. I like the attitudes. I like the swearing. There is a very unsanitized, genuine Vegas feel about this virtual place.

 

Here's another example of why VB is the perfect fit for me. I will be starting a thread soon on unadulterated REAL hooker stories. Those who have met me know I can be a chatty guy and so I do talk to my dates, not just fuck them!
And they have told me some very interesting stories of their encounters in Vegas, because I ask. Believe them or not, but it's what they told me.
Can't do that on the other boards without heavy censorship or getting banned.

 

I swim in both ponds and am past the us/them thing. Contrary to most, I am only passingly interested in some of the Vegas stuff. I read nearly no TRs and fewer gambling threads, so totally miss much of the insider stuff. That's been my mode whatever platform, however. Some friends are here so that's good enough for me, and I'm figuring out and finding more folks simply because of the nature of this beast, and that's cool. I do really like how people can post pretty much anything and anyone aggrieved does not curl up into a ball of self-pity and then cry out for intervention. It's either ignored or settled, and things then proceed. Very adult. My interests are Vegas-focused to a degree, but mostly it's about all the stuff to enjoy in life, and good banter. For all the penny-chiseling coupon-hoarders at VMB, the sheer numbers mean more outside interests if you take time to figure it out. Our bell curve here kinda naturally skews that way by self-admittance to some degree, however, offsetting some of the number advantages over there, and I'd guess the socio-economic demographic explains a bit of that. Every site has its spastic pissing puppies; thankfully the number is still rather small here.

3? there's at least 20 Vegas related boards out there any many people float between several of them.

they all have their niches and dedicated followers, however small that might be on some boards.

the ones that survive and thrive do so because they have a great community that provides value to each other.

whether that's knowledge or entertainment or simply understanding.

and I think it's pretty clear to anyone that that's what you guys provide here, which is why this place is the best!

Sorry if i wasn't clear. I was referring to the VMB to xenforo. I was asked to do some work on the site in January, and was just stating the fact that regarding shifter's post about the site being copied.

What I really appreciate about this board is that people are willing to give great and exacting advice on how long a walk it is from the airport to Ellis Island and what are the best places to get burgers.

Actually, what I like is the board does not get bogged down in the basics because there are more Vegas veterans on this board. VMB can be a little mundane.

 

+1. Some here struggle. It's like the American electorate, all Ds are bad/good as all Rs are good/bad. It can be no other way -- myopia, polarity. No good could possibly come from VMB or elsewhere.
