By strong I meant a candidate that has appeal and would get the votes. I dont know where that would come from. As I see it now, a third party vote is effectively a vote for the candidate that you hate the most.

Perot drew almost 19% of the vote in '92, and I dont know if any other election has had more than 10% non traditional party vote. If there ever was an election ripe for a third party it would be this year. But it would likely end up the same as it did in '92, with a Clinton in the WH.

No third party has a chance until voters stop rationalizing not voting for a third party. Bottom line. Now if we could get more than the odd-lot non-major in office downline, that would certainly help, too. But bottom line, the modern American electorate votes blindly and from anger toward the other side.

I'm in the green box too. Surprising how many of us are! No gambling questions, no gun questions?

I'm surprised I'm as much on the center line as I am!

I feel that I am being welcomed to the BLUE team with open arms.

Though I am surprised by the lack of gun questions, and that the religion section was glossed over a bit, and there seemed to be too many sex questions. But I really did take this seriously and put some thought into the answers... truth is I was worried about the dot going too far left, but I think I am happy with where I was plotted.

So far, anyway, there has not been a candidate, of any party, that meets my political ideology... if there ever was one, he or she would have my full support, including cash contributions... but I doubt that will ever happen...but for those who are curious, here are the top 11 positions of my political views (in no particular order):
    1. Reasonably free markets - meaning we still have anti-trust laws & truth-in-advertising requirements...other than that? No restrictions - no regulations.
    2. Elimination of all income taxes, payroll taxes and property taxes - to be replaced by a consumption tax. Every individual gets a $3000 rebate check every quarter, plus $500 for each non-filing dependent. Businesses selling/buying raw material for manufacturing are exempt on those sales. Nothing else is exempt. That's it.
    3. Support for a 'Human Life' amendment to the US Constitution, establishing that all have the right to not be deliberately killed, with the only exceptions being self-defense of the individual, one's family or in defending one's freedom from deliberate physical harm/assault on their own property.
    4. Military engagement policy that limits use to: defense of the nation, retaliation for any attack on the nation, fulfilling treaty obligations or with full congressional approval (66.7%) when asked for help by another nation.
    5. Until existing national debt is reduced to less than 1 year's operating budget, no direct foreign aid (cash) will be allocated for any other nation without a super-majority of congressional approval (66.7%).
    6. All corporate cash subsidies and/or 'loan guarantees' will be prohibited.
    7. Make Social Security & Medicare completely voluntary for any currently on those programs, or currently paying into them. Continue to fund them in the 'general budget' until the last person on them dies.
    8. Prohibit any tax-payer funded benefits for any non-citizen. Provide emergency medical treatment as necessary, but bill the person's nation of citizenship.
    9. Fully secure all borders and enforce all existing immigration laws. Seek and secure deportation of any illegal immigrant charged & convicted for the commission of a crime on US soil - to be carried out immediately at the completion of their sentence. Country of citizenship to billed for all costs associated with imprisonment.
    10. Decriminalize the use of all so-called 'recreational drugs' by adults 21+, but still permit all employers to establish & enforce their own employment drug policies.
    11. The 'Heller' decision is established constitutional law - clearly defining the 2nd Amendment. Require another amendment (or repeal of the 2nd) in order to change that.
No need to be worried... there will never be a candidate in my lifetime who holds all of these positions...unless I become one myself.

And we'll be in Vegas at the same time.

I wonder, are we the same person? Has anyone ever seen us together at the same time?
