My advice would be to find the highest payout video poker at the 10-25 dollar single line, or $1 multi play and grind it out and convert as much of the free play into real $$$. These games can pay as high as 97% (Assumes perfect play and factors in the royal flush), but even without you should be able to convert 80% into real money. Then take 10K-20K of that and play some super high denomination slots and see what happens. Save the rest for the bankroll for future trips.

Its honestly up to him. Since he plays slots, he would know what to run it thru.

If it were me, i would go for the gusto with a high limit reel machine (100-500) since those are what i enjoy playing if i play slots.
