What's your Vegas horror story? And I don't mean your biggest gambling loss. I mean a trip where everything just went wrong. I'll start.

About two years ago I was headed out on a Thursday with a few family members for a nice long weekend trip. We were flying Southwest and were lucky enough to get A1 boarding and there was no one preboarding. I was one of the first couple of people on the plane and headed for my favorite seat, 2A. I tossed my overhead up top and was now standing in the aisle facing the rear of the plane. I then proceeded to pivot on my right leg into the row. As I went to turn my foot, my toe caught on the chair leg thing and my 250lb body continued to turn. I then heard the loudest pop I've ever heard and it came from my right knee. It was right up there with the worst pain I've ever felt, although it was very brief. I took my seat, asked the air waitress for an ice pack, and went to sleep. I never got up during the flight. When we landed and I went to get up I knew something wasn't right. I hobbled into the terminal and couldn't bare to walk anymore. I arranged a wheelchair to the rental car shuttle. Thankfully I had my family with me this trip and we rented a car, something I never do.

We went to the urgent care on Paradise and they said I likely had a strained or torn MCL. I got a brace, crutches, and a prescription for some fun stuff and headed on to Aria. At the SkySuites check in they noticed I was ailing and offered a power scooter. I was reluctant at first but decided I didn't want to hinder everyone else's fun for the trip. I took the chair and had a great time wheeling around the strip. Thos things are fast. It kind of makes me want to rent one all the time. When I got home we found out it was a tear and I was in for surgery the next week.

For me it's pretty easy. It was about 10 years ago and I was driving down Boulder Highway and saw the hottest looking street walker I ever saw! An absolute 10. Tall, thin, nice rack. Pulled over and picked her up before someone else did. As I was driving away and we were negotiating rates & services to be rendered, I noticed her Adam's apple was larger than mine was. I pulled over immediately and asked him/her to leave. Oh, the horror!

A large group of my friends go to Vegas every summer. the first two years they went, I had prior commitments and couldn't go, but in 2013 I finally was able to book with them. 17 of us, flying out of Buffalo to Las Vegas for 5 nights, 6 days. I told my girlfriend (now ex) that this was a trip with just my old friends and she wasn't coming, which she said was ok since I brought her the previous 3 trips.

    HOWEVER,

2 months before the trip, we are out for drinks with a couple my girlfriend was friends with. They were both 25, got married at 20 and had two kids. They rushed their family and were in a "rut", feeling like they missed out on things. They mentioned how we always go to Vegas and thought it would be great to come with us one time. That's when my girlfriend blurts out "WELL COREY'S GOING IN JULY!"

They booked. Now my 16 other friends were staying at Flamingo, which I am not a huge fan of, but I was staying there as well to be with them. WELL, my girlfriend and her friends were not ok with that. Knowing I got comp'd everywhere, they made me book Planet Hollywood. I should mention they were only flying in for three nights, so Night 1 and Night 5, I stayed by myself.

When they finally got there, I tried to do my best to balance my time between my group of 16 and the three that came to meet me. It really meant more of me missing out on my 16 friends. This couple was DISGUSTED at the way I gambled, they couldn't believe how many 100s I'd go through in a slot machine sitting. I reminded them I didn't have kids, I wasn't married, I didn't have a mortgage. I was enjoying my life. They'd put a $20 in a machine, lose $3 and cash-out the other $17 as if it was the end of the world. Gambling isn't for everyone, but it was clear Vegas wasn't for them.

Day 1, the girl of the couple got so drunk within the first 3-4 hours she was done for the day. She didn't come to dinner, she stayed in most of the night. When my group went to Ellis Island, my girlfriend and her friends were too "prissy" to come. They went to Aria buffet. That was SUPER embarrassing to admit to my group.

The pinnacle of the trip came on Friday night. A few of the girls in my group of 16 got us all into Drais for the night, which was only a few months old at the time. The couple my gf brought was STOKED. They were apparently huge clubbers before having kids and this is what they came for. So as I'm getting ready with the two girls, I notice the husband was just chilling on the bed (oh yeah, we shared a room with them). I asked "are you not getting ready?"...to which he replied "oh I'm wearing this"...he's in cargo shorts, running shoes and an aeropostale t-shirt. I thought he was joking, so I made a dick comment. He wasn't joking. He tells me he didn't bring dress clothes, so I told him he wouldn't get in. Long story short, this caused a huge fight between him, his angry wife and myself. The three of them ended up NOT going to the club, but I went without them and had a blast.

For the next two days, none of us really spoke and there was a lot of crying going on between my girlfriend and this horrible woman she brought. I offered to go see a show with them to try and make things better, but they were only willing to go see Tony and Tina's wedding, which I just wasn't down for. Some people just can't handle Vegas and these two were the definition. The Sunday morning, the couple got in a HUGE fight that involved him telling her that "she was just like your mother" and she ended up packing up her shit and trying to go to the airport 12 hours early. They finally went home Sunday afternoon and I had one final night in Vegas to enjoy myself, which I did to the fullest. By the time I got home from the trip, the couple had both deleted me off facebook and I never saw/spoke to them again. Despite my girlfriend being the god mother to one of their kids.

I also never took my girlfriend to Vegas again, going three straight trips without inviting her (she went once with friends without me, too). I finally broke up with her last fall, and I really can point this trip as a turning point in things (for more reasons than just the trip)...

And I went last summer with another buddy with my group and we had a blast! And I'll be back with some of them in just 5 weeks. Of 11 trips, this was the only one that turned me off Vegas. But alas, I went back 4 months later and fell right back in love with her.

    No fucking chance.

I can already picture this guy. Did he have a goatee and use really cheap hair gel? Seashell necklace?

Mine was a couple years ago. We were golfing out at Shadow Creek for the day, and on my last swing on the practice range, there was a pin that was out about 123 yds. I figured no problem - I can get my SW to that pin! Oh, I got it there all right, and completely threw my back out in the process. I mean I couldn't move! Severe pain, immobile, the whole 9 yards. I of course couldn't golf, so I just rode around in the golf cart with the rest of my group, drinking like a fish to alleviate the pain. When I got back to the Skylofts, Shadow had called ahead and told them I needed a scooter, so as I pulled up to the valet, they had a scooter waiting for me. When I got to the room, the butler got a very hot bath going to help relax my muscles, and then called the house doctor to get me a prescription for some pain pills and muscle relaxers. I crashed for the rest of the day, and long story short, I spent the rest of the weekend zipping around the Mansion casino in a scooter!
