3-5k bankroll. My goal is two double it. If I get to 10k. I bank the win and party. If I am on my last 1k, I also stop, and just drink. I will always end my trip with a last minute hit and run with 1k buyin.

if a won a bajillion dollars, that doesnt change the fact that i came to Vegas to have fun, gamble, drink, and do whatever I wanted. I never plan on winning, so I would say sometimes if I am up the last night I play way ove rmy normal limits. Any money i bring back is just a bonus anyways.Quitting because Im up seems insane to me.

Now my number to quit while im down $x, that would be when I blow the bankroll and max out the cash advance. Then its time to change my flight home and call it.

I have to fully agree with Canoe and Shifter, when it comes to winning then quitting. Not gonna happen. I have long since determined I like the action of playing the games and the environment Vegas offers to much to quit when I am there for basically only two full days.

 

My upcoming trip for Memorial Day has cost me $1,600 already between flight, pool parties, and hotel for 4 nights at the Linq. My bankroll will be anywhere from $1,500 to $3,000 depending on my first quarter bonus. If I won enough to cover my expenses I would deposit those at the atm and play with house money until it was likely gone

All I would be looking for is a free trip and no net loss- that would be amazing

 

To stop a gambling session would be 200x my base unit bet. Unfortunately, there has been many instances that I get within 20 units to the goal and dump everything having to re-buy. If I am playing with friends or having fun with strangers, then I will play till the table breaks up win or lose.

 

Unless it's the last day, I don't really have an upper limit "where I would stop gambling". I gamble until I need to leave for the airport.
Now, if it does happen to be that last day, and I find myself up 2X my trip bankroll before I would normally leave for the airport, I will quit gambling for the trip.
If the night before my return flight, I'm already up 2X my bankroll or more, then the number becomes "+$1000" for that last day of gambling.
Now - to be perfectly honest, when I've already accomplished a solid winning trip, I do tend to get a bit more conservative with my betting...and I may lower my typical session stop-loss number. In blackjack, I tend to shift to "flat-betting" mode on that last day in order to help preserve the win.

I often tell myself that I will not let myself drop below $xxxx... but if there's still a lot of time left on my trip, I discard that rule immediately.

 

Good question If I end up big early in the trip I might not go quite as hard for the last few days, its a very satisfying feeling flying home with a nice win

Nothing wrong with playing some lower variance games or lower limits if you are a big winner for the trip, then again I typically just book another trip to Vegas with the winnings as soon as I get home lol.
